The grill was inspected and operating fine prior to the guest’s check-in. Also there was a spare propane tank and a large dishwasher detergent bottle at the house available for guest use. We would gladly have assisted had the guest contacted us. We will check with the linen service as to why the linens were not delivered with the proper sorting/identification. The house décor can be seen in the listing pictures; this would be a good way to see if the decor meets your needs prior to booking.

The photos on the listing were taken this past Fall. All of the couches and most of the beds are new within the past 2 years. Lake water levels were higher than normal during this rental, thus much of the beach would have been underwater. We will immediately check on the other items and fix as needed.

The lake water level was elevated above normal this week; this probably explains the dock wobble reported by the guest.

The patio and deck have since had a spring cleaning including power washing.

The house is professionally cleaned between each rental. The house includes cleaning supplies, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, detergents, coffee filters. We don’t guarantee an unlimited supply, but it seems to be a sufficient quantity for most stays. We will review the guide book to see if improvement can be made on describing where these items are stored in the house. The docks are floating docks built to the standards allowed on the lake by the Army Corps of Engineers and are in good condition. Outdoor games plus new Tommy Bahama beach chairs are available for guest use and are stored in the back porch. The HDMI cord was disconnected from the DVD player. The guest was unable to reconnect it so we sent someone over the next day. He successfully reconnected the cable and showed the guest how to use the DVD player. The guest was also trying to use pay-per-view; we have pay-per-view disabled and will update the house guide to reflect this. The house does include DirecTV with HBO and Showtime. The porch area and basement are in good condition and are a ton of fun! Please check the VRBO listing for recent pictures of the porch, basement, docks, beach chairs, etc. If we find any peeling paint or ripped screening it will be quickly repaired. We strive to respond quickly to any guest questions, and provide 3 ways to contact us (email, phone, VRBO site).

It is about 100 yards to the private dock. It is not allowed to build houses on the shoreline at Kerr Lake as the lake water level is controlled by a dam and can fluctuate. Thus all houses on Kerr Lake are set off of the shoreline per regulations. There is a wagon at the house that can be used to transport your lake gear.
