When arriving at the property we notice a old shoe outside the front door. Well it all went down hill from there. House was nasty amd dirty. Every bathroom was disgusting and dirty. The white couch had big brown stains all over it. The beds are a mattress on wood with what look to be 1920 head boards all furniture is very nasty and out dated. Coffe pot had coffee in it from previous guest. Pool was dirty. WORST PART IS THERE WERE ROACHES!! would never recommend anyone to stay here unless the house and furniture and a major update and pest control..
This property was in a great location; close to restaurants and beaches and convenient drives to Kennedy Space Center and nature areas. The backyard area was our favorite part of the property. The kids loved the pool and there were lots of lizards and birds to watch. Having a place on the canal was so lovely - the entire time we were there there was a manatee and her calf hanging out in the water. The neighbors across the water were also really friendly. The only concerns with the property was that the wood boards on the deck are significantly warped and bowing up at the ends. It is fairly hazardous. Also, the bedroom shown in pic 18 (with the two beds) is shown with the sliding barn doors open in the picture but that door is actually sealed closed and that bedroom can only be accessed through a pocket door off the kitchen near the laundry room. It really separates that room from the rest of the sleeping areas which might be great for some but didnât work for us. It also makes that room really dark as there are no windows but again, that might be quite appealing to some.
We had a pleasant stay. Backyard was peaceful and neighborhood was very safe. Back deck is overdue for some repairs and kitchen could use a restock of basics like glasses, small plates etc. no open cabinets for food storage. Kitchen and bathrooms were nice. Overall could use some refresh of furniture and decorating.
Location was great. Had Plenty of room for everyone. Your deck has a lot of maintenance issues. Concerns about getting splinters and nails in feet. Warped boards were a tripping hazard. We had a great time
Clean with a great location, but some upkeep necessary
The house was clean, a great location and the owner was very accessible and accommodating. There were many areas especially outside that were in need of repair. The decking was falling apart. The downspouts were not at the right angle and mold on the soffit. There were chips and cracks in the tile floor. There were holes in the walls and black marks. The foosball table was broken when we arrived. The chair pads outside were crumbling due to sun exposure.
Central enough to see rocket launches, go to Brevard Zoo, and still drive to Melbourne Beach to do world class snorkeling. The house pool table was used a lot by our grandchildren.
My family had an excellent vacation here. The house is a bit old but well maintained and equipped. The beds were comfortable and there is plenty of space to spread out.
The back area is what we really appreciated. Plenty of outdoor seating and shade to cool off in. The small pool was especially nice on very hot days. My teens spent a lot of time chasing small lizards on the back deck.
We witnessed dolphins and manatees swimming so close to the dock that you could almost touch them.
They also provided everything you needed for a day at the beach. The public beach is a short walk from the house.
The only improvement I would recommend is a newer BBQ. Itâs an old charcoal style, which was difficult for us to use as weâre not used to that type.
Excellent neighborhood. Everyone really friendly. Beautiful backyard. Would definitely stay here again. Only complaints are no room to store food and lacks some cooking needs( can opener, measuring cups, mixing bowls etc.).
We stayed here for vacation for a week. The home was a bit different from the pictures in the listing, but still a nice home. The decor gives â2000s party house vibesâ, but it serves the purpose. Some beds didnât look the same and were somewhat comfortable. There were bug traps in the kitchen with one very large cockroach/water bug on it. We saw another live one during our stay that we had to kill. The day before our departure we were invaded by ants in the kitchen. The rest of the house was pretty clean. Despite this, the house was extremely well stocked with anything you could imagine needing. The owners did put a lot of thought into this. Even shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the showers, toothpaste and toothbrushes in the bathrooms, and a full coffee and tea bar in the kitchen. We really enjoyed the pool table. It had a beautiful view on the canal and we were able to see manatees right in the canal in front of the home. It is in a good location with close proximity to things and the beach. The owner was extremely prompt and courteous. We had an issue that they did their best to rectify during our stay but, once it couldnât be resolved, they gave a small refund after check out. Overall, it was a nice stay.
Great place to stay for a family, with the pool table, small pool and pontoon. Wish we could have stayed here a little longer.
Convenient distance to visit the KSC or Atlantic beaches.
This was our first time vacationing in Cocoa Beach. This property offered a nicely renovated home close to Cape Canaveral & downtown Cocoa Beach, including the beaches. Very quiet, relaxing neighborhood. Host was great. We plan on returning.
