4th flr handicap rm (didn’t need or ask for), over $200/nt (2 queens). Bathroom floor drain loose and dropped 1” if stepped on - very dangerous. Nothing like pics online. We expected to be swimming - pool had no water, no one let us know. Terrible breakfast first morn (brown fruitfly bananas), no protein or yogurt. Kitchen water shut off daily (kitchen worker showed us how to enable it for our tumblers). Room AC leaked (but was cold). Curtain pulls broken, curtains missing. Cracked wall pics. Tub heavily patched, room needed sweeping. Pillow cases had holes. Half of phone plugs worked. Room very dark. Hotel is very old/tired compared to expectations for this price.
Positive: 2 kitchen staff members were friendly and nice.
We got a text asking how our stay was going. I mentioned these items. No one responded. I texted twice. During our stay I connected w/ staff who handed me towels, toilet paper, or said “sorry” re: our issues, but no real resolution. At checkout, I said all of this, and told about the no reply texts. Staff acted mortified and said they’d give a $67 refund if we didn’t post a negative review. I agreed. Then they didn’t give us the refund. I called Expedia to detail all of this. Expedia called the hotel and asked for a full refund. Kerry at the hotel said no. Expedia asked for 1-2 day refund. Kerry said no. Expedia felt so bad they credited us a smidge over what the hotel originally said they would do, but better than nothing.
Don’t go here. Try Holiday Inn.
