Conestoga Creek! NEUE Abgelegene Hütte mit Terrasse & Aussicht

  • Summary:

Welcome to Conestoga Creek! Brand new and tucked into the pines outside Florissant, this modern cabin trades neighbors for forest and streetlights for stars. Vaulted ceilings and a two story wall of windows bring the trees in, while the deck and grill take dinner back out.

🔥 Stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and forest views from every window

🍳 Professional grade range, stone counters, and an island with seating

🌲 Spacious deck with gas grill and dining table set among the pines

    The Space:

Brand new and surrounded by pines, Conestoga Creek puts the forest at the center of everything. A two story wall of windows, a vaulted living room, and an open loft keep the whole house connected, with a deck and gas grill waiting just outside the sliding door.

    🛋️ LIVING ROOM

This is the room the whole cabin was built around. Vaulted ceilings open to a two story gable of black framed windows, and the forest does the decorating, shifting from morning light to alpenglow to a field of stars without anyone touching a switch. A floor to ceiling stone fireplace with a timber beam sets the gathering point, with a leather sofa, loveseat, and recliner pulled around a wood coffee table on wide plank hardwood floors. A TV on a wood console and an orb chandelier overhead round out the room, and the sliding glass door puts the deck a few steps away. The open staircase climbs to the loft bedroom, which has no door and overlooks the living room through a wood and metal railing.

    🍳 KITCHEN & DINING

Knotty wood cabinetry, white tile, and speckled stone counters give the kitchen a warm, built to last feel, and the professional grade stainless range under a white wood trimmed hood means a mountain dinner for the whole group is no different from one at home. A stainless French door refrigerator and dishwasher keep cleanup quick, and the window over the sink looks straight into the trees. The center island with a built in microwave and backless stools under a beaded drum pendant is where everyone ends up while something simmers, and the complimentary coffee station with pods and a milk frother and the complimentary spice rack are ready the moment you arrive. The fully stocked kitchen opens to an oval wood table with black spindle chairs beneath a beaded chandelier, set in full view of the window wall so every meal comes with the forest as the backdrop.

    🛏️ BEDROOMS

Bedroom 1 (Loft, Upper Level): King bed with an attached full bath, a gable window, a dresser, a reading chair, and a ceiling fan. Please note the loft is open to the living room below with a railing and no door.

Bedroom 2 (Main Level): Queen bed in a rustic wood frame with a transom window and a corner window, sage painted nightstands and dresser, and a ceiling fan

Bedroom 3 (Main Level): Queen bed in a black iron frame with a transom window, a double closet, two dressers, and a ceiling fan

    🛁 BATHROOMS

Full Bathroom 1 (Main Level): Off the hall between the bedrooms, with a relaxing tub and shower combination in sage green tile and a wood vanity with stone counter

Full Bathroom 2 (Loft, Upper Level): Attached to the loft bedroom, with a walk in glass shower, a wood vanity, and a round mirror

Both bathrooms are stocked with plush towels and essential toiletries.

    👶 KID-FRIENDLY

Pack-n-play and high chair available. The high chair pulls right up to the dining table, and the pack-n-play sets up in whichever bedroom works best for your crew.

    🧺 LAUNDRY

A stacked in-unit washer and dryer in a hall closet between the main level bedrooms, so you can pack light no matter how long you stay.

    🌲 OUTDOOR SPACE

The deck runs the length of the window wall behind a black metal railing and timber posts, with a gas grill at one end and a dining table at the other, and the pines rolling off toward the ridgelines in every direction you look. The sliding door makes it an extension of the living room, so dinner cooks outside while the fireplace waits inside. Around front, the timber framed covered porch has its own seating and a long view across the valley, the kind of spot that turns a morning coffee into an hour. Once the sun drops behind the trees, the clearing goes fully dark and the stars take over.

    🅿️ PARKING

A gravel driveway loops around the home with room for several vehicles, so arriving with a full group or a trailer is easy. The final stretch of road is dirt; in wet or snowy weather, a vehicle with all-wheel or four-wheel drive makes the drive in more comfortable.

    ❄️ CLIMATE CONTROL

Ceiling fans in all three bedrooms and the natural airflow from the window wall keep the home comfortable through the mountain seasons. Please note there is no air conditioning; at this elevation, summer nights cool off quickly on their own.

    Guest Access:

🔑 Property Access: Guests enjoy full access to the entire property, including all rooms and parking. This is a private, single-family home with no shared spaces.

    The Neighborhood:

🌲 Outdoor/Nature: The pines around the home back up to the kind of quiet that’s hard to find, dark skies perfect for stargazing and easy access to some of Colorado’s best public lands. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, home to petrified redwood stumps and 14 miles of trails, is just up the road. Mueller State Park offers over 5,000 acres and 55 miles of trails, with elk, bighorn sheep, and black bears among the wildlife you might spot.

⛏️ Culture/History: The historic mining town of Cripple Creek, with its museums and casinos, is about 18 miles away. The Florissant Heritage Museum covers local history in the town itself.

🏔️ Regional Access: Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and the city of Colorado Springs are all within about an hour’s drive, making this a solid base for both quiet mountain time and day trips to bigger attractions.

🍽️ Dining: Grab coffee and a bite at Costello Coffee House, a local favorite housed in a historic Victorian in Florissant, or head toward Divide for wood-fired pizza and brewery fare. Cripple Creek and Woodland Park round out the options with a wider mix of casual eats just a short drive away.

    Getting Around:

🚗 By Car: Having your own vehicle makes it easy to explore everything the area has to offer, from mountain trailheads to historic mining towns. Colorado Springs is about 50 minutes east via US-24, Woodland Park is roughly 20 minutes away with grocery stores and shops, and Cripple Creek is a scenic 30 to 35 minute drive south through winding mountain roads.

🚶 On Foot: Surrounded by pines, this property is best enjoyed by wandering the land itself, whether that’s a quiet morning walk among the trees or simply soaking in the mountain air from the deck. Nearby towns are just a short drive away.

🚴 By Bike: The surrounding rural roads wind through forested terrain and offer scenic riding for experienced cyclists comfortable with mountain grades and limited shoulders.

🚌 Public Transit: Not available in this area, so a personal vehicle is recommended for getting to and from the property as well as exploring nearby towns.
