My wife and I were visiting the Victor area to see "Young Frankenstein" at the beautiful Butte Theater in Cripple creek (we HIGHLY recommend both the show and the theater) and decided to stay a couple of days to avoid a long, late night drive home... the decision to stay with Jenny made the trip truly amazing.
First things first, this is a great little apartment rental... what you see in the photos is exactly what you get. The rental is on the 2nd floor of a lovely storefront building built in 1899 and is furnished with all the modern essentials and amenities. It's quiet, clean, and in great repair, what more do you need? How about a quick stroll down the stairs for a life-affirming massage?
Yep, the rental owner operates a professional massage therapy studio on the 1st floor. Genius... and why isn't this standard with all vacation rentals? To be clear, the massage is not included in the rental, but the price is more than reasonable compared to other therapists my wife has visited. If you're interested, I recommend mentioning a massage in your rental request, just to be sure of availability. My wife gave her session 5 stars.
Finally, I recommend a quick hike on the 2.1-mile Vindicator Valley Trail, which is less than a 5-minute drive from the rental. It's a beautiful little trail that wanders around several inactive, turn of the 20th century gold mining sites and includes a few historical information placards with details on the area. It's more of a stroll than a hike, but there are a couple of steeper sections that should get your blood pumping.
We’ll definitely be taking in another show at the Butte Theater and staying with Jenny when we do. Big thumbs up.
