« Sharon is a wonderful host! We walked into serene spa music and this set the tone for our entire stay. This property is right in the middle of Amish country. Many of the neighbors are Amish! The Cottage was impressively stocked with everything from massage devices to aromatherapy. Every detailed felt intentional and warm. The landscape is picture perfect and the property is a short drive away from most of the best spots to visit. My boyfriend and I felt at peace and relaxed after our stay. »

« Second time staying here! Great location! It’s a pet friendly house, so expect some remnants of pet hair and pet smells, but overall a great house! »

« It was close to the Sight & Sound theater and the Country Kettle Kitchen stores. The swimming pool and hot tub were very nice, but it should be noted that they are shared with the family and other guests. »

« This 1st Street cottage did not disappoint. The perfect description is a traditional cottage with modern updates in the kitchen and bathroom. If you explore the kitchen and dining area cupboards, there are extensive place settings, serving bowls, and glasses. Also some small appliances. The wrap around porch is a plus. Loved our weekend at this property. »

« The hideaway is a lovely house nestled on a shared property with a beautiful cottage. The view of the creek from the large picture window is beautiful and the perfect backdrop to sit and read. The house is immaculate and provides all the luxury needed for a short relaxing stay. The view of the cornfields across from the porch takes you back to days gone by. »

« SO many good things about this place - fab front porch: great enclosed side porch for eating; fans in both those areas; quality appliances and kitchenware for eating/ cooking; good lights for reading in living area; walking distance of all the "hot" spots; nicely cleaned; lots of helpful explanations, neatly typed, around equipment in the house; wonderful old hinges and doorknobs to add charm; a fun hunt to find the bedroom closets (at first I thought there weren't any); linen and towels...

« The house was just as described and looked just the pictures. Nice quiet area. The host was excellent to deal with. If ever in the are again will stay here. Recommend for anyone in the Lancaster/York area. »

« A wonderful home to relax in, perfect for families. The location is excellent to enjoy all that Mount Gretna has to offer - the Jigger Shop, playground and beach were a hit with the kids, summer concerts and Hideaway a hit with the adults! Mount Gretna is a great place to explore Central PA from - head to Hershey a short drive away or over to Roots Market on a Tuesday for Pennsylvania Dutch Treats. We cannot recommend this home from home highly enough! »

« Beautiful space; it's clear how much the owners put into the design and layout they created, including the pool. Peaceful! And they were so quick to respond to my messages, coming to shock the pool for us and even sending me a screenshot of the shampoo/conditioner that I'd loved! The only thing I think is worth mentioning is that the upstairs room did get hot. We were there on hot days...but I needed to keep the AC on 65 to really cool the space up there. This meant there was a distinct temp...
