Das Zimmer war gross und sauber - das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, wenige Minuten vom Zentrum. Tiefgarage ist ebenfalls als positiv zu bewerten.

Schreckliche Nacht
Kaffe musste bezahlt werden. Das Zimmer war sauber, aber lag neben dem elektrischen Raum war dadurch sehr laut. Schlafen konnte man nicht, auch nicht mit Ohrenstoepsel. Mikrowelle war nicht vorhanden.

Greeting's, Here at Courtyard we offer the Starbucks coffee that we do charge for downstairs in our lobby. Inside the rooms we have complementary coffee that can be self made without a charge. Please note for future stay's that at check in you may request a microwave and our team would be more than happy to get that delivered to your room. Thanks for staying with us. They were doing construction on the floor above us which we were only informed of the night we arrived We were told it wouldn’t start till 9 it started at 8:30 am. It was just very uncomfortable and I could not relax in the room so much so that I only spent the one night there. When i explained my situation to the desk clerk I was told “ it was on the website “ which I did not see & because I booked through Expedia I would not get a refund. I am a loyal Bonvoy member and I can understand the no refund policy to a point but as for customer service there was no apology let me get you a voucher for a discount for a future stay or cup of coffee. I was made feel like I was the idiot and should have known. That was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. We are currently undergoing renovations, which is posted on all reservation booking sites. We also do send out pre-arrival emails to all guests, who opted in to receive communication from the hotel, letting them know that construction hours are from 8am-7pm weekdays and 9am-7pm weekends.We wish to welcome you again in the future.

All reservation booking sites do state that we are undergoing renovations, as we also send pre-arrival emails with the construction hours, as well as verbally mentioning this during the check-in process. The construction crew does not enter the building until 8am, so I am unsure of how this was heard prior to this time. This was a great spot to stay, to tour the USC campus. The hotel shuttle was super convenient (shout out to Cynthia, our awesome shuttle driver!), and there were so many restaurant options within the radius of the shuttle service. Riley & April at the front desk were also fantastic, and provided excellent customer service.

We were put in a room on the 3rd floor directly under a floor where they were renovating. The drills were going at 8:30am and didn’t stop until 7:30pm. Our room was musty and outdated and our view was of the ac unit on the roof. When we complained the following morning we were moved to a renovated room on the 9th floor. Unfortunately we could still hear the construction below us. I never would have booked if I knew about the construction ahead of time. I don’t understand how they could place someone in a room that close to construction. Very frustrating.

The parking garage is not set up for large cars it is narrow and spaces are narrow. My room was nice but bathtubs was old and peeling bottom to tub and not clean caulk around tub. Mirror also was old and had damage to it

I do apologize if you feel that management was rude, as we simply stated policy multiple times. It is posted that we are undergoing renovations on all booking sites, including Travelocity, and we also send out pre-arrival emails which include that we are undergoing renovations. However, I am a little confused on how construction noise was going on for hours, as you were in the room for less than an hour. I am glad that we were able to check you out early and give a full refund for your stay.We hope to welcome you again in the future.

We stayed on the second floor and it was like the windows were just wide-open. It was so loud he could hear everything from the street the trains blowing cars driving by. They really need to invest in soundproofing. Please note they also are doing construction and of course didn’t notify us of that until we checked in, but my comments about noise had nothing to do with the construction

Unfortunately, being located in the downtown area does have its downsides sometimes with the traffic noise.Regarding renovations, we do have it posted on all booking sites that we are currently undergoing renovations, and we also send pre-arrival emails stating this as well. They need a new parking garage
The room was excellent the service was excellent. However the parking situation was disappointing and scary. There was a lot of construction going on which we could hear on Friday but none during the weekend. They need to improve the parking it's very tight for even a small car it seems a little dangerous even.

Cold and I mean COLD showers
Comfortable beds, pretty quiet, and great location for visiting USC. The reason I can't give it more than 3 stars is the cold shower. I stayed here for four nights, and I showered morning and night, and every time the water was cold. Cold is relative, and I like a very hot shower, but this was cold cold. I called the desk and they said they'd send maintenance but nothing changed. They also said they were fully booked so that might be why. So either they aren't fixing a problem or they have insufficient water heaters and don't really care. Either way, I froze myself twice daily for a week. I got my thermometer from my first aid kit to see just how cold it was, and it was too cold to register on a medical thermometer, which means it was 89 or cooler, so basically the temperature of your average swimming pool. Which is fine for a swimming pool but TERRIBLE for a hotel shower.

The hotel was beautiful and its location was in perfect proximity to the University of South Carolina to make it walkable. The parking was free but perhaps the only negative of the place as the parking spots were very, very small and the lanes tight. Thank goodness for backup cameras! Everyone I saw took about five tries to get into a spot. But the rooms were clean and well appointed - ours even had a microwave and a coffee maker.

Taken aback by kindness and attentiveness of staff
Literally every single person we encountered who worked at this Courtyard was beyond helpful. The staff who walks around making sure everything is fine (nice man showed us how to work our door), lady setting up Happy Hour brought my husband a water for no reason, guy at the coffee bar extra nice and helpful, cleaning ladies. I was just a bit taken aback by the extra that they all did. Wasn't expecting it and I rarely write reviews. Perfect location for USC or a show at Koger Theater, which is why we were there. Bed super comfy, snacks downstairs. Two thumbs up for those extraordinary people!

Overall...great hotel...got an upgrade to a suite...thank you...my only issue...the bathroom is really small and the door is on the wrong side...u have to close door to get in shower...lol

Convenient Location, Would Stay Again
They are in the middle of renovations, but that didn’t disturb us at all. We stayed in a not yet renovated room, and it was fine so I’m sure they will be very nice when done. It was the week before Christmas, so the whole area was very quiet, almost ghost town. I’m sure that isn’t the case when school is in session. We were there for a performance at the Koger Center - a very short walk away. We ate at a lovely place, also easy walking distance.
