Upon arrival we noticed a strong musty smell in the home along with a dirty floor/rug in the entryway. Vents/baseboards were covered with dust. Dishes in the cabinet were also dirty. The house could use a deep clean! Soon after check in we realized that we did not have hot water and that the water heater’s door was removed and the pilot light was off. We were told someone would be by the following morning to check the water heater, and they would keep us updated as to the progress. The following afternoon we were told the issue was resolved and we had hot water. This was not the case, the water was still cold. We contacted property management again and were told we needed to give it time. We waited a few more hours but still no hot water, this was day two without hot water. Another evening and the following morning with a cold shower. On the 3rd and final night of our stay, a maintenance worker was sent to our property. They tested the water and confirmed it was STILL cold, then increased the water temperature. We waited 30 minutes and finally we had hot water, that was 7 pm the night prior to our departure! We were also told that before we checked in there was a gas leak and the water heater was not working. It is unacceptable that we were allowed to check in without hot water and went without hot water from Thursday night to Saturday night, pretty much our entire stay. We were offered a small refund for our “inconvenience”.
