La Villa est accessible par une entrée fermée, une allée en béton vous emmène au parking (pour 2 véhicules) où vous entrez dans la Villa par une terrasse à manger isolée qui offre une vue imprenable sur le parc national.

Un court chemin mène à travers des jardins matures à une piscine privée (8m x 4m) et une terrasse qui offre une vue imprenable sur le parc national. Le Parc National et ses sentiers pédestres sont directement accessibles à pied depuis la Villa.

Le salon clair et spacieux dispose de la climatisation et d'un poêle à bois pour les mois d'hiver, il y a plusieurs doubles portes donnant sur la terrasse à manger. La cuisine moderne est entièrement aménagée et équipée. Il y a une salle à manger séparée mais adjacente également avec accès par des portes doubles à une autre terrasse et un espace barbecue.

Il y a deux chambres doubles avec air conditionné, dont une à l'étage dans la tour et deux autres chambres avec lits jumeaux et ventilateurs.

La Villa, qui dispose d'Internet sans fil, de chaînes de télévision anglaises et d'une collection de DVD, se trouve à 10 minutes en voiture de Competa. Le village a une belle place, des bars, des restaurants, des petits supermarchés et une gamme de magasins. Si vous avez envie d'une journée au bord de la mer, il y a un certain nombre de plages bien connues à moins de 30 minutes en voiture.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful villa. It’s a little piece of heaven with everything one needs. The pool is lovely and the outdoor space & views are exceptional. Close enough to Nerja & Cómpeta, there are a huge variety of excellent eateries to choose from, and the food we ordered from Keri was sublime! A little piece of paradise that I’d highly recommend.

We had a really great family week at Villa Carlota - it was very relaxing and we all enjoyed the gorgeous weather, the pool and the beautiful views and going into Competa … and not much else, though we braved the slightly hairy drive to the Lost Village & had a delicious meal at Canillas de Albaida and El Cortijo in Competa ! The Villa is very well equipped with everything you need and comfortable - it was all very easy - highly recommend and thank you Liz and Ceri! Hasta luego!

An out of the way location which suited us perfectly. Nearby villages and attractions within easy reach. Spectacular views across the mountain range with neighbours a mere dot on the horizon. Access track beyond the villa not for the faint hearted but practice makes perfect. Well equipped Villa but twin bedrooms would benefit from integral air con as fans and stand alone units have little impact...but don't be put off...like us, you'll want to return!

The bad first, when they tell you to use there directions they provide do exactly that. We used Google maps and it got us to a different location with an identical pool, where there secret code also worked on the lock of the wrong place. Contact on Virbo is in UK, not local. Local contact can only be reached by WhatsApp. If you do not have WhatsApp, you will need it to communicate with them. Pool was not heated as we paid for in advance but the owner immideatly credited us back when I brought it up. Local contact was extremely nice and helped us get over the initial check in issue but no cell service at location made it challenging. House itself was great. Very clean, also had option of pre buying grocery’s which was a wonderful addition. Overall great place and they were very polite dealing with our frustration upon checking. Follow there driving directions and make sure you have “WhatsApp” for communication and it will go smoothly. Place itself was plenty of room and everything worked. Well stocked kitchen with cooking equipment and being a little out in the country was very peaceful. Just enough of a dirt road to make you appreciate being off the beaten path without any real driving issues. Nice place, I would recommend it.

Villa was wonderful, really clean and spacious. Villa manager was very helpful. Pool was perfect and not overlooked. A very relaxing holiday and the views can't be beaten in this part of Andalucia. Can't recommend Villa Carlota enough. Can't think of one fault. Thank you.

I stayed at Villa Carlota with the same group of girlfriends around 6 years ago and it was just as, if not more, wonderful as the last time! The Villa is pristine and everything you need is to hand. The pool and views are perfect. Sunrise is a real treat with a morning coffee, and we sat and watched the ISS go over on a coupe of evenings. Competa, which is very pretty, is just a few km's away and has a couple of small supermarkets and a few cafe and a restaurant or two. Liz is lovely to deal with and the villa is obviously a much loved home from home for her family. Can't wait to return again in the not too distant future. Thank you Liz

Thank you again to Ceri and Liz for our wonderful stay att Villa Carlota. Villa is very clean, comfortable and modern. Ceri was very attentive to the questions we had. Check-in was quick and flexible. Pool area is nice and the patio/terrace area sunny - the views are superb. Beds are comfortable, although nights can be cool i october so extra blankets would have been good. The only minus for the villa is maybe that you can't get anywhere on foot, the main road to Competa is narrow and there aren't any service or restaurants nearby, you need to take the car. Tried to go to rest. Pavo Real one day on foot over the hill with googles help and and ended up on a narrow alley and were chased by a big and furious guard dog, so watch out! But all i all, a lovely stay. Would definitely like be back in near future. Thank you x

Cant praise Villa Carlota, owner Liz and villa manager Ceri enough. The villa is absolutely perfect in every way, location, ( walking into the natural park to Acebuchal etc is awesome) view ( from the panoramic windows is stunning), quality of the villa and a fantastic pool everything has been thought of ( even eggcups 😀). Cant recommend this villa enough. Communication with Liz and Ceri has been faultless. Other VRBO owners could learn things from them If ever staying near Competa again, I'll be trying to book Villa Carlota, thats for certain.

This is our second time renting Carlotta and we are never disappointed. With everything you need for a relaxing stay, the property has a well equipped kitchen complete with all the pots and utensils whether eating in or taking out (I particularly like the sandwich boxes and ice packs). We are a family of 4 and this was the perfect property for us to enjoy family time with the beautiful pool, views and excellent WiFi!! Well located for visiting Competa, Torox, Nerja, Frigliana and the surrounding areas. Brilliant booking experience and check in was seamless with regular contact from both the property owner, Liz and Ceri who looked after us for check in and during our stay. We’ll be back again soon! Prachtig plekje hoog in de bergen, vrij dichtbij het dorpje Competa. Uitzicht is adembenemend, de villa is ruim en netjes en het zwembad werkelijk fantastisch. Zeer rustig gelegen! Contact met de plaatselijke host Ceri verliep heel soepel. Minpuntjes: veel last van muggen en wespen en slechte ontvangst bovenin de berg.

Great to return and enjoy the tranquil location and wonderful views at Vila Carlota. The property was immaculately clean, spacious and well equipped. I would definitely recommend the home cooked food ordered for our arrival which was prepared in generous portion sizes. Tempting as it was to stay relaxing at the poolside, we ventured into Competa village for a meal in the square and a visit to the ice cream parlour, which is a must. We also enjoyed the scenery in the local walks of the national park.

Although some way up the hills from the coast this is a lovely restful retreat with some very tranquil touches. The rooms are of good size, cool where necessary. Only minor issues would be if booking this property with small children; the pool is down a garden path and cannot be seen from the main house. The house faces north/east-ish so mid afternoon the sun has disappeared however the views of the National Park are gorgeous. One final frustration was the dust from the track seems to shower everything with a layer of dust. Frustrating as it really is a gorgeous villa.

We really enjoyed our return to Carlota. Despite Covid restrictions for the journey, it was well worth it. It truly is a beautiful location with the views over the National Park. The villa is clean, well equipped and very spacious inside and out with a good size heated pool. The home cooked food we ordered for our arrival was lovely, with generous portion sizes. We would recommend horse riding nearby at Los Olivillos who cater for complete beginners to the more experienced. We also enjoyed visiting Competa Village with its picturesque square and great ice cream parlour, and Nerja for Burriana beach. There is also a short walk to the local pub that was well worth the effort, as they serve great bar meals.
