We had an absolutely amazing weekend stay at this beautiful property with a large group, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Kelly is the quintessential host and guide to what awaits you when you book at this luxury resort villa. There’s an element of confidence in everything that she and the Highball Resort offer. Rarely is there so much character and personality in an actual dwelling, but it’s by design that Kelly has created this experience for guests to enjoy. It would take a few days to truly engage in the entirety of the spaces where magic happens in this home, so make sure to give yourself a four day stent to soak in all that is …the Highball by Speakeasy Resorts! We had rain every day that we were there but even though the weather put a damper during our stay we were able to enjoy Such a beautiful home, with an amazing view, we spent most of the time outside on the patio and when it wasn’t raining, we were in the pool and hot tub. This home had everything you can possibly need for an enjoyable stay. With all the rain we had during our stay, had some rain water leak into the master bedroom windows I’m assuming through the sealing or trimming. But other than that little issue the house is amazing! Will definitely come back!

Fun Time with the Family

Wonderful family time at The Highball. House was fabulous...everyone from youngest (10) to oldest (grandparents) said it was the best house since we started these reunions 12 years ago. Lots of space, well appointed, lots of games from cards to ping pong and lots in between, great amenities, great location and beautiful views. Pool and hot tub were favorites. Easy drive to Garner St Park as well as access to the Frio River. Can't say enough good things about our hostess, Kelly. She provided driving directions, entry instructions, etc. before we asked, answered any questions quickly and went far beyond expectations with the one issue we had which was a faulty switch for the hot tub. It was not possible to replace it while we were there but Kelly made sure we had access to all the bubbles, lights and hot tub heat as needed. Truly a host who wants all her guests to be smiling! We all highly recommend The Highball if your travels take you to the Concan area.

Beautiful but bummed

We are a group of adults ranging from 40-52 from the DFW metroplex. We tend to book exactly what we want, while paying the price it costs to get it. The house was so beautiful & spacious, with bathrooms in each sleeping space. Travelers know how hard that is to find! We loved all the labels too, which clearly let visitors know where things were or how they worked. The main items up for discussion with our group was the lack of shades in the front of the house, which caused it to be a little warm & VERY bright in the living/dining spaces, the renovation occurring in the upstairs patio area that wasn’t mentioned and the actual thing we were most bummed about, the pool/hot tub heater being inoperative. The owner was responsive and did refund our extra pmt for it but the hot tub was a BIG reason we booked this particular property and to not have it or a heated pool after riding motorcycles all day was a disappointment. There was also a little snafu with low/no water pressure one night, but that had to have been coincidental because it was fixed by morning. I do give kudos to the owner for trying to make our visit right, and think that just some simple systems checks prior to a rental would be just what was needed! We would certainly look to book again if we were assured some things had been fixed, because again, finding properties of this standard & with separate bathrooms in this area are few & far between.

Best Stay in Concan

I had such a wonderful time at the Highball by Speakeasy! The place was super clean and well thought out, so I never felt the need to leave. The only hiccup was that the pool heater wasn’t working during my visit, which was a bummer. But honestly, my family had an absolute blast anyway! Kelly was amazing—so helpful and always there to answer our questions. She even tried her best to get the pool fixed, but with it being Easter weekend, no luck this time. Despite that, I would definitely rent again!

Spring Break Dreams

We can’t say enough about this property, the Highball. Our group of 12-14 were blown away by the space and amenities. Plenty of things to do at the house and the pool/hot tub was a favorite spot for all adults and children. We not only celebrated spring break but tied the knot with the gorgeous view as our back drop. Kitchen was ideal for the cooking we like to do. Bedrooms were all comfortable with for adults and kids and very accommodating with the bathrooms in each bedroom plus half bath off the main living room. Also lived that the owners have plenty of items for use when you forgot something - first aid, aloe, goggles, power cords, kitchen extras, etc. And the owners were responsive almost immediately with an answer to any question we had. Great location for Garner State Park visits and also all the other local places to visit. My groups is already asking when we are going back for another week at the Highball!

The Highball was way better than advertised! Breathtaking views - the pictures from the listing do not compare. We had the best time! There’s no need to leave because you have everything there! Beautiful Experience

My husband and I brought 22 young adults for a weekend retreat, and we had an absolutely fantastic time. Kelly was incredibly accommodating in answering all of our questions and helping us with any need we had day or night. The house was absolutely beautiful with some of the prettiest views of TX we’ve ever seen. Parking was easy, as were all of the instructions for the house. Forever family memories

We surprised our kids with this amazing house! They flipped! It’s somehow even better in person! Gorgeous luxury house yet so cozy & comfortable! All the finishes are perfect!! And they provide everything you will ever need! But the view- there are no words- just stunning! We woke up early for sunrise! Mid day & sunset- that view is just amazing all hours of the day!!!! The owner Kelly is so accommodating, responsive, & does whatever it takes to make your stay perfect! We can’t wait to go back!

This place is legit. It is a beautiful build in the perfect place. Swimming pool is great, but the large hot tub was the best. Relax and overlook the hill tops with a great view. Ample space, property was clean and stocked with everything you would need. This was a trip for Family and close friends, we had a blast. The river is a short trip away, but we mostly stayed in the pool and hot tub. This place did not disappoint. The view is amazing. 10 out of 10, Would Recommend!
