« As a lover of architecture, it scratched the itch to stay in a historic mansion. Like much of Richmond, IL, this house was many decades past its prime, witnessed by the broken car parked out front and the 70's apartment complex that overlooks its backyard. The home has tons of space and some beautiful original features, but you have to balance them with the broken, mismatched thrift store furniture, the challenging lack of outlets/strangely placed switches and dusty old curtains some on broken...

« This place was amazing! We came to Richmond for a funeral and had a total of 22 people traveling from every corner of the US. We had about 10 people stay at the house and everyone slept great. It was a perfect place to entertain, relax and enjoy nature after it warmed up a bit. The firepit was so much fun, the lake was beautiful to look at and the kitchen was spectacular to entertain for a feast! The place is very close to town for any last minute groceries. Kevin and Chris were easy to get...
