Great Family Beach Stay!

The check in process was super easy and the house had everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer with two littles was a huge help. A short golf cart ride to the beach. House had everything you needed to cook at home. Even had a small wine fridge. There was plenty of bath towels, linens, dish soap, etc. Bring your own beach towels! House was cool and clean. A great place for families. Had a few breakable shells out at lower levels that we put away because we have a toddler and baby. Thanks for a great vacation!

Family vacation

We had a great time in Port Arkansas. This is a very nice property. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. Nice kitchen with plenty of storage for what you bring . Comfortable house and we enjoyed our stay.

Not as advertised

This stay was for my family to have a place for Thanksgiving. We arrived in the afternoon right after check-in time, and my wife and I were disappointed from the start of entering the house. 1. The pictures do not match several items in the house: - the living room chairs are not as pictured, and instead, are uncomfortable, outdoor chairs - the couch had a huge pinkish / red stain on the cushion - there were not enough amenities in the kitchen (there was only an empty pepper shaker and salt shaker, a coffee pot but no coffee or coffee filters, and several of the cooking utensils were either inadequate / broken, or unclean, with pieces of dried food particles still stuck to it) - the lighting was different, both in the breakfast area, and in the master bedroom - the tv did not work properly in the “master” - the linens on the beds were different that pictured, which probably would have been ok, but every linen had stains on them, and were clearly and obviously in need of replacement (some stains appeared to be unwashed food particles, especially on the only throw blanket in the whole property that was in the living room) 2. There were several common amenities that were absent from the property - I already mentioned the kitchen issues - there was no secondary lock on the front door for added security (anyone with the electronic lock code could just punch it in and walk right in) - the front door was basically a full sized window, and had no covering or blind, so anyone that happened up to the front door was looking right into your space - when I tried to bathe our 2 year old in the tub / shower combo, the water was coming out of the shower head and the faucet at the same time, and the drain would not properly plug (I tried several things to trouble shoot this situation to no avail), so I just had to hold my 2 year old in the other shower to properly bath her) - the toilet paper was the worst toilet paper that I’ve ever used, and one of the toilet paper holders was broken - the window in the “twin bed” room was openly accessible to anyone (including our kids) from the bed, and had no screen - in most cities, this is a code violation / city ordnance issue) and made my wife and I very uncomfortable that our kids might open it and fall right out of a second floor window onto the driveway 3. Overall, it was not a good value. If the owners would like to reach out, I took pictures to document the issues.

Came for our family beach trip. House was great, brought fans for the bedrooms based on anther review that said the bedrooms didn’t have ceiling fans. Short drive to the beach. Only thing was the tv in the master did not have cable like advertised, but no big deal to us.

House

The house was beautiful! However would be helpful if there was a welcome binder on what and where all light switches are and how to operate the tv, air conditioner and stove no directions. Also the grill needs to be bigger, house sleeps 8 grill is big enough for 2! Also had a guest slip out back on a rug that is not secure no one was hurt but could have and again no outside light switch and recommend a light on the stairs as well.

April Beach Trip

The house is so comfortable, we could tell that a lot of thought went into the decorating. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds were so comfortable and the master bath has the best shower. You can hear the waves from the front patio, which has plenty of room for reading and/or dining. We would love to stay here again on our next trip.

Clean, Cute Beach House!

The house was very clean and super cute with modern finishes and decor! The 2 king beds were perfect for the 2 couples, plus my daughters loved the 3rd room with twin beds! Kitchen was well stocked and the porch was perfect to hang out and enjoy the spring weather! The house is located at the end of a dead end road so no through traffic. Very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of parking space as well. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider renting there again for a small group.

Great Weekend Getaway

Great property for visiting Port Aranasas. While not located directly on the beach, it is a short walk to the main beach access point. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and some spices (as well as a ton of coffee filters). Would stay again!

Hurricane Hanna

Survived Hurricane Hanna. Thank God it hit just south of us. We actually spent the Saturday it hit in San Antonio because we were a little worried but returned on Sunday and spent a great day at the beach. Unit sustained no damage and we enjoyed the remaining two days. Beds are very comfortable and the house is very close to the beach. Would stay here again if the opportunity arose. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Overall a good place

The house did smell like mold and we weren't sure where it was coming from, maybe it had been empty for a while? The dishes also didn't really smell good, but I think that's because they hadn't been used in a while. Otherwise, the place was great in every other category. I would still stay there again in hopes the mold smell would be gone after more use and same with dishes. Great location!

Checkin list ask not set air lower than 72!, Due to the humidity, the unit would freezeup. Not sure if that is true or just wanted a low electric bill. No ceiling fans in bedrooms to help. So if 72 is hot for you like it was me bring fans!

Very clean and private

Great family stay! Even better than pictures. Very clean and comfortable stay. Not much of view but it’s very private and the houses are not on top of each other like other streets. Pros: clean, quiet, had everything that we needed. Adequate towels, beach towels, dish soap and detergent, liquid hand soap were provided. Good location. We rented a golf cart and not to far from beach and restaurants. You can walk to the beach as well. Easy check in and responsive management. What to bring: if you plan on doing laundry bring alot of pods. Washer and dryer is stacked unit so very small. Bring eye masks if you want a dark room. Blinds are sheer in master bedroom. Extra toilet paper, paper towels and condiments. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.
