« I rented this location for our summer vacation as part of a Christmas present for my astronomy-loving son. It was only about 20 minutes from Cherry Springs State Park, but on a clear night, you also had a beautiful view of the night sky from the property. The house itself was lovely and clean, and it had almost everything we needed for our stay (we second the suggestion for adding a tea kettle). « We spent 4 nights at creek bend cottage. It was clean and roomy with all the essentials plus extras like dog bowls, dog run liine. It was an easy drive to access points to the Pine Creek Rail Trail, Wellsboro and state parks. »

« The property was perfect! Clean, had everything we needed and more. Loved fishing right in the backyard, campfires and an occasional Netflix movie. Nice to have 2 good restaurants within walking distance. Close drive to Grand Canyon of PA and state parks including Cherry Springs to see the stars thru the telescope. I can’t say enough nice things about the property and owners! Hope to go back again soon. »

« Emporium is an old town so we knew ahead of time the home was going to be older. I think they did a nice job bringing it up to date considering its age. Beds were fairly comfortable. The detergent used for the comforter was a bit strong. Fridge's water/ice machine didn't seem to work but there was fresh water in the fridge for us guests. The barn door for the bathroom was a nice touch. I'd recommend a latch or small hook as it did tend to open. Otherwise, it was clean and we loved that it was...
