All clean and staff friendly. The major highway was noisy—ear plugs a good idea. They charged the full two days before we checked it?!?!

Great place to stay
Everything was great. The staff was very friendly and professional, And the room was very nice, nicer than I expected. Everything else from the pool to the breakfast was top notch. I would definitely stay here again.

Uncomfortable experience with front desk
The hotel itself was pretty nice. My family was in town to celebrate my great aunts birthday and we hadn’t been together like that in many many years. While most of the staff was very kind, including the owner as we checked out, there was an uncomfortable experience with one of the night clerks. Due to her rudeness, it would give me pause before deciding to book there again. She went out of her way to make us uncomfortable and even told us the lobby closed at 10 pm. There was no signage anywhere that said that and the previous night other guests were hanging out in the lobby well after 11 when I arrived.

The hotel was clean, breakfast was ok. It was basically average. The hotel is in the mountains, but the property is in a cramped location surrounded by other things. They have maintenance issues that need to be addressed. One of the plug outlets in the bathroom needs fixing. The heat didn't work. The bathroom shower dripped. They don't offer housekeeping everyday unless you ask, but they failed to tell us that and we were expecting it. They claim they just do it every three days, something new they just started. It was neat and clean, but had issues.

Really nice room
While the rolling barn doors are cool, it is imperative that they are hung level. Having the door to the bathroom continuously roll open with no way to latch it in place was a bit awkward. Other than that a very good room. Very clean and orderly. The staff was very courteous. The coffee was fantastic.

I travel a lot and usually stay at Hampton Inns. This was a great location right off I-64. Non smoking room smelled like smoke and overall had a bad odor. I was going to stay another night but could not take the musty odor. Staff was great. Pretty area.

The Hampton Inn is nice. However, the town has nothing to it. No restaurants. There isn't even a Dunkin' donuts or coffee place nearby.

Called for a “stay over housekeeping service”. Response, “if they have time.” Asked to speak to Manager who proceeded to complain that there were only two housekeepers (surely he doesn’t believe this is the guest’s problem?). We did have service that day and it was good. We didn’t ask again although the two housekeepers themselves were very friendly and accommodated our requests for additional towels and trash bags. Air conditioning unit was quite loud and the humidity in the room made everything feel wet. We paid a premium for this room because of an event in the area - it was WAY overpriced!
