Wonderful home
This lovely house had everything we needed. It is located on a beautiful property in a nice neighbourhood near wonderful pebble beach. The communication with Linda and Bill was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Very nice house with few steps to the beach
The house was very comfortable and good equipped, with a nice view of the sea and parking possibilty close to the entrance. The communication and check-in was perfect, and the town is very nice with good shops and restaurants. With only a few steps to the beach we could make some nice walks watching the sunset and collecting pebbles. The only thing we didn't notice in advance was that one bedroom is downstairs (with an attached bathroom with washing machine), it is a little bit dark and not that nice as the one upstairs.

Just what we needed
The property is in a nice location. It is very close to the beach for great views, and low tide tidal pool exploration. It is also in a convenient proximity to the Redwood forests. We were able to explore the forest as close as 20 minues away, and alo went further along the beautiful highway 101 south for hours of amazing Redwood exploration. We had text and phone contact before the stay with the owners, and they were very nice and helpful with their suggestions for places to see, and what to do. The place was clean and well equiped for a short or ling star, inclusding laundry. We really appreciated the directions they left, " don't do the laundry, take out the trash, or do the dishes...just enjoy your stay, thats our job!" We did clean througj a bit, and dishes, and generally made sure it wasn't a mess, but thats who we are, and would do anyway. We have been many places that are a bit ridiculous obout what the expect as far as cleaning, etc. upon checkout, so we loved to be told to just chill, and dont worry. The only thing that we would have anything negative to say, is that the living room furniture is a bit dated, undersized, and not comfortable. That quick change out of that furniture would mekr the place just that much better. There one little complaint, the dining and shopping options in crescent city are not great,place, great price when qe booked it, probably not always, and we would recommend it for aa 3 or 4 person fa!mily to be comfortable. Find magic at Crescent City
Our stay was simply Magical. Linda was amazing with communicating through texts and calls. They were accommodating when we asked to stay an additional day to visit the nearby Redwoods. This is definitely our go to place to stay when we come by this way again on our travels. The house feels like a cozy home that suited the stormy weather outside. Thank you for providing a haven to two traveling sisters.

Tour of the 50 states
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here! Bill and Linda were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The house was comfortable and clean! They have gone above and beyond to make their vacation home feel like home. The house is conveniently located next to the beautiful Jedediah Smith State Park where we were able to walk among the giant Redwoods. It is also just steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the best of both worlds! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us as we tour the 50 states! This was an outdoor family's dream!

Our Convenient Redwoods Hiking Stay
My friend and I met up in northern California and southern Oregon for some national park hiking and for our Redwood State and National Park leg of the trip, we stayed here in Crescent City. It was a perfect location for the northern part of the park and Bill and Linda were excellent hosts. We had the little spot to ourselves and it had all the amenities we needed for a no-frills stay. It is not a large space and the second bed is only a twin, so make sure it will meet your needs, but we appreciated the convenience, the cleanliness, the access to laundry for our sweaty duds and the kitchen had all we needed for our simple stay. The hosts communicated clearly and quickly. We had a great time.

Lovely stay at Linda and Bill’s place. Well cared for, clean and beautiful location.
We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for quiet get away and this was perfect. Bill and Linda were lovely hosts who put care into their place. Location was great - 500 feet from Pebble Beach and just 20 minutes to the beautiful Jebediah Redwood State Park. Would stay there again.

Great Location for beach access. Clean home. Should mention in listing that owners live on site.
Enjoyed the location but would prob not have rented if I realized we would be sharing our outdoor relaxing space with the homeowners (both homes on same lot, same yard).

Glad to hear this guest enjoyed our great location walking distance to the beach & short drive to the Redwoods. However, we live in a safe & friendly neighborhood with little or No fencing at all. Our private home and this rental are on separate lots. Each lot has its own outdoor space with chairs & an area specifically designated for the rental only. We respect travelers wanting privacy and this is the first time in 10 years that the outdoor space has been a concern. We hope you will visit again & be able to enjoy the rental’s outdoor space which includes a picnic table, propane fire pit, propane bbq, basketball hoop & bicycles. As hosts we love sharing our beautiful outdoor spaces with friends & travelers🌴 Bill & Linda

Great vacation getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay! Great location, just a short walk to amazing beach and stunning sunsets. Very quiet neighborhood, the hosts Bill and Linda were very friendly and accessible. We had a wonderful time on our vacation! My sister and I took walks in the morning and hit the beach during the day. Location is the best! My granddaughter loved the place too! Magical Experience
Everything one needs for an adventure and escape from the heat! Pebble beach is a block away, wildlife abound, and short drives to the old growth forest and the Smith River. House is comfortable and clean, hosts are helpful and friendly, it was hard to pack up and come home.

Perfect homebase to explore the Redwoods
This beach house was the perfect place to stay while enjoying the Redwoods. The house is adorable, it is tastefully decorated in coastal theme. Bill and Linda are friendly and helpful, they even recommended a few places to eat which we enjoyed. The house is closer to the beach then I expected. You have a view of the beach from the dinning area and kitchen. The neighborhood is very nice, I felt safe. One morning we work up to see two deer right in our front yard! There is also a place to sit outside and enjoy the beauty. I was very happy with this rental and with our Redwood vacation in general. Seeing those giant trees up close isn't something that can be put into words.

Hiking home base
Great location! I used the property as my “home base” to do a few days of hiking in Redwoods. Depending on which park you’re going to, you can get there in 15 to 45 minutes. The property was also very clean, and well-stocked for any cooking needs one might have. Lastly, the communication with Bill and Linda was phenomenal throughout the whole process! I would definitely stay again if I find myself in Crescent City!

If I could give over a 5 star rating I would. This place was everything advertised and more. Friendly hosts, very clean and comfortable living area, and a VERY short walk to the beach! Peaceful, quiet location, short walk to the beach. Centrally located for easy access to multiple explorations into Jedediah Smith Recreation Area and Redwoods. We were able to get in a few hours early and met Bill and Linda upon arrival, an incredibly friendly and helpful couple. House was very clean, and well supplied with all the necessities. Loved our stay, thank you. If we make it out this way again, we most definitely will book again.

Weather and views were wonderful:)
The owners were easy to get in touch with and provided my friend and I with a restful place to rest our heads. Linda called on the day we were arriving to check in how our trip south was going. We told her we were arriving late, so she made sure to leave some lights on so we could see when we arrived. The many little touches around the house made us feel right at home. The views from the dining area are breathtaking. Access to the beach is literally less than a 5 minute walk from the front door. Can't wait to come back.

This property was within a few hundred feet of the ocean in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of good dining options about a mile or so away. Owner was great at communicating info about their place as well as making sure we knew about the weather as the roads leading to Crescent city from the south can often be closed due to mudslides.

Beautiful Home by the Sea
We had a great experience renting this seaside home from Linda and Bill for the weekend. My 15yr old daughter appreciated having her own downstairs area with a separate bed and bathroom for privacy. The house was clean and we loved the ocean view from the upstairs living room (they even provide binoculars!). The decor of the home is beautiful and we enjoyed all the amenities they offered, including a labeled book of things to do along with the history of Cresent City. That was a really nice touch. Linda was a great host and allowed our family in the area to visit with no hassle (I had a bad experience with a previous rental that charged me for having family over for dinner so this was a nice change). Thank you Linda and Bill for making our stay comfortable and welcoming.
