Coastal base for Kempsey work trip
A peaceful place to stay for three work colleagues. A short energetic walk to the surf beach, local shops and eateries. Beautiful scenery in all directions. An authentic beach house with good amenities rather than a magazine showpiece. It was a lovely place to stay for two weeks.

Better when the weather is not too hot...
Lynne was great and communicated well and responded quickly when we had questions. The house was well appointed and comfortable with everything we needed. The air conditioning downstairs kept the living areas cool, but the upstairs was hard to cool at night - possibly because the weather when we were there was particularly hot and still. The driveway is tricky. Lovely home, beautiful gardens and great for the dog. We would stay there again.

Disappointing
Nice house, but dated. Furniture old including a bed that broke in the middle of the night. Disappointing that although the owner offered to provide a $100 refund as compensation, she never followed through. Not ideal especially as we could not use the bed and had one more night to stay. A hike to town and the beach, so be prepared to drive for less mobile people. House has lots of stairs, so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or elderly. Very awkward driveway - had to put our car in 4WD to get in and out. There is no dishwasher.

The refund was provided, just overlooked in pre-Christmas chaos. I'm very disappointed with this review, as this feedback was not communicated to me when I spoke to Michelle after the very sturdy bed was broken by the guests. The text message Michelle wrote when she informed me that they had broken the bed said, "The house is lovely and apart from the bed issue, we are enjoying our stay." That's far from consistent with the review, so you be the judge.

Great stay
I had a great 3 days at the Beach House. Comfortable and plenty of room. My dogs had a great stay although the smaller one found it easy to escape through the balustrade. Lynne was very helpful and easy to contact. I have to mention the fantastic view. Will definitely stay again.

Magnificent Crescent Head
This stay was just wonderful! The house was spotless when we arrived, and it is super cozy with everything you might need. The view from the kitchen, verandah, and all the bedrooms is breathtaking. There is a lovely nature strip with a grove right next to the property, and we had magpies visiting when we were having breakfast. There is airconditioning for heating or cooling; we visited in the middle of winter, and the whole house was pleasant. The kitchen is well equipped. It's a medium walk to the centre and beach, and you can walk to the lookout by the water tower too. I really hope we can return someday soon. Thank you so much!

Picture perfect beach stay
Couldnt be happier with our beach holiday in Crescent Head. The home was perfectly clean, the view was spectacular and the amenities offered everything our family could possibly need for our little getaway. Lovely place to stay with our 2 dogs. Parking is a bit difficult if you have a low car because its very hilly around but our AWD was fine. It's a nice quiet place to stay with a great view and walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach.

Fabulous
Accurately described and the cottage included little extras which made the trip more comfortable. Met all expectations apart from the parking, where you need a 4 wheel or high wheel drive. However, easy to park on the nature strip even for a low drive sporty type car.

We will be back!!
We had such a beautiful time exploring Crescent Head for the first time with our children and our dog from this holiday house. The house was perfect. It is a few streets back from the beach but this still worked great as we had a few windy days. The girls loved the loft type bedrooms, the spa bath after a good beach swim and the fluffy white towels. The dog was really happy with her verandah and loved all the beach and cliff walks we could easily do from the house. The house was beautifully clean, had the necessities in the kitchen, and a great coffee machine as a bonus. Our Christmas elf also got into some mischief but seemed to enjoy his stay too. We loved our stay and definitely hope to be back.

Excellent escape in cute cottage!
A long awaited holiday with teenagers and a kelpie. This house was perfect for our stay in Crescent Head. A short walk to town, a dog beach within walking distance, lovely ocean breezes, all amenities, and even in the torrential rain, this house offered many aspects to see the view. We will be back for sure!! Lynne is a wonderful host who has thought of everything!!

Amazing spot, super clean and homey property! Me and my partner had a lovely relaxing getaway here. My only feedback would be that the kitchen supplies were lacking. We wanted to cook one night and had to buy salt, pepper, oil, foil etc - It would be great if these things were available at the property.

A v peaceful stay
This is a lovely spot away from the crowds that will be nice and cosy in the winter months too. There was plenty of room for a family of four and the spa in the downstairs bathroom was great fun. There were a few mozzies floating about outside which don't get blown away by the coastal breezes and the kitchen is quite basic but nothing that can't be easily overcome. Would defo stay again.

Crescent Head Beach House was perfect!! My two children and my mum had the loveliest stay. Lyn (host) thought of everything and it was such a pleasant, beautiful home to stay in. The 3 bedrooms upstairs were so peaceful with a gorgeous bathroom (with bath) upstairs and another downstairs. Beautiful fresh air flowing though made for great sleeping. The views from the balcony (and inside) and wrap around veranda made for such a peaceful stay. A hidden gem that we will definitely visit again! Very clean, tidy and homely. Thank you Lyn! 💙

We found the property very clean and easy to manage with our dogs who were able to enjoy the wrap around deck. The view was the highlight especially during the rainy days, we could still watch the surf from above. Easy walk into town with the exception of some hills and stairs but we liked the exercise. Great spot and Lynne our host was quite pleasant and helpful.

We had a lovely time at the accommodation despite the down pour of rain. It just did not stop raining! However that did not stop us having fun at the beach. The house was amazing with all the beam work, high ceilings, attic skylight windows and just needed to be admired for the era for its craftmanship. The boys called it the tree house. The dog loved the outside area and once she found her way downstairs/and back to the door we all relaxed, in the end it was like she had always lived there. We did lots of exercise walking to the beach and dinner at the country club and tavern. it was all up hill so not for the faint hearted but my 5 year olds managed although challenging. The view was nice from the deck, I could have sat there for hours and we all enjoyed a nice afternoon spa after the walk home from the beach. The boys loved the DVDs would have been lost without them with it raining. The place was very quiet, serene and you felt very private with all the green foliage. The hostess had lots of nice touches, little toiletries, coffee pods and Lipton teas which I really appreciated. The neighbour John was a gem and helped me reverse my car out he was such a lovely person. Thank you for some great memories again Crescent Head! Thanks to Lynne for having us and your communication beforehand it made everything easier. Regards Kylie and boys

Stunning Location, Quiet Getaway, Home-Away-From-Home
Tastefully decorated home situated in a scenic, quiet part of town with clear views of the beach down below from the outdoor verandah and BBQ area from whence you could sit and enjoy each meal outdoors (with your pet, if you take yours). You'll be greeted by clear birdcalls each morning and gaze at the trees, moon and stars from the skylight in the Main Bedroom. Fascinating to watch the signal from the Smoky Cape Lighthouse each evening. Loved our stay. Thank You!
