Nice trip

Spacious, clean, lots of room & great location. Manatees right off the dock. Vintage on 5th is a great restaurant especially in the early evening on the veranda.Nicely appointed and a good deal of basics are included making a short stay so much easier- spices, coffee, paper towels etc. Likely to return….

Vacation Ready!

The property was in a fantastic location - close enough for a quick trip to town by car or to the marina by boat. Although we brought or own paddle boards and floats - the house was well stocked with things for the whole family to use in the pool or on the water. The house itself was well laid out, clean, and ready for your family and friends to stay the week. Would most definitely rent again!

Annual scalloping trip

Great location in Kings Bay Area and close to Pete’s Pier. Can be a little tricky getting to the house by boat when the tide is low so just be aware of that. We had a tritoon and center console boats that both hit rocks coming in. There was plenty of space for our large group of 14! The A/c worked great, tankless hot water heater accommodated all the showers at the end of the day. The main beds were comfortable. The host replied very quickly whenever we needed him. We offered some suggestions but I’m sure it will be perfect for the next group.

Can't Wait to Come Back!

The property is a perfect setting for Crystal River. It's a nice boat ride to the scalloping grounds. You can arrive by boat to multiple restaurants (Crackers and the Tipsy Tarpon). You are very close to Pete's Pier and two freshwater springs where you see manatees floating about.

Nice house but a bit disappointed.

The house was decent for a large family with plenty of from for everyone. It is nicely furnished an updated, however I was disappointed about a few things. First, the toilet in the master bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned and I had to use a wipe before I could even use it. One of the reasons we chose this house is in the pictures it shows six kayaks, and lists them under the amenities, nowhere on the listing did it mention an additional fee. Also, the host kept sending me a link with a suggestion that was optional to go onto and fill out some more questions about our stay. This is something I’ve never done in all the years I’ve been renting in other homes so I I checked it out . The questions wanted to know exactly how many people were staying in the house what their ages were, exactly how many vehicles were going to be in the driveway. They wanted a picture of your drivers license or passport and a series of other things that I’ve never had to do for another rental , so I elected not to do it. When we arrived at the house there is a computer that gives you all of the information about the house so we started reading it will come to find out there is a $20 a day fee to use the kayaks so I messaged the host and asked if we could get the code to use the kayaks and he said sure it’s a $20 a day fee. I’ll go ahead and charge you $100. We ended up using them once for two hours and the host refused my refund & told me It was in the link, and I would’ve seen it if I read it.

Piece of Paradise

This was a combined vacation with three families totaling 10 people and the house was perfect! It is in a nice neighborhood with a beautiful back yard space! We enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing off the dock, watching dolphins play & catch their dinner, kayaking, and paddle boarding. If you bring a boat or rent one like we did you will have access to many great lunch or dinner choices by water! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great getaway in Crystal River.

We had a Blast. Except for the many sight seeing/manatee chasers that frequent the cove. Had lots of room. Love that it’s pet friendly! Enjoyed tha heck outta tha pool, the on site kayaks with all the needed paddles and life jackets! Great fun! Water pressure not so great, but understand. Everything was clean and comfortable! Thank you for a great time. Need to name the house…?

Great Gem of a place for a family vacation!

Beautiful home that was clean and updated. We enjoyed the pool right outside the back door, fishing at the dock and the lounge chairs to soak up the sunshine! Great experience seeing the manatees, dolphins, turtles, crabs and fish right in front of us! As my granddaughter said everyday, “Best day ever!” Would love to return one day.

Family reunion

This home was perfect for our post Christmas reunion. The home is as lovely in person as the posted pictures. Very clean and spacious for our family of 7 adults and 4 children. The owners were in communication from the time of registration to the day of departure. No question was left unanswered! The purpose of our trip was to snorkel with the manatees. Cold weather changed those plans, but a walk through Three Sisters Springs was exciting for all to view hundreds of manatees in their natural habitat. Back at the house, the local manatee and her calf were visible in the river. The paddle boats provided great entertainment! Evenings ended with shared stories around the fire pit. This home met all our needs and exceeded our expectations.

Great house on the water

What an amazing property. We had a large group of friends (12) stay for 3 nights. Plenty of room for all of us. Updated house with plenty of bath & pool towels, tons of pillows, laundry pods for w/d...all the comforts of home without having to pack them. We really enjoyed the pool every evening. The kayaks are a nice touch. Any time I had a question, Micheal was quick to answer. If we come back to Crystal River, we will definitely stay here.

90th birthday party

this 4bdrm/2 ba is clean and efficient and up to date. Plenty of room for 8 of us. Just the right size for people to hear each other. Plenty of ways to access the water and King's Bay. We enjoyed the kayaking and fishing and outdoor seating. The pool was perfect. Great to get wet and cool down and sit with drinks and enjoy family memories. Only two small steps in the house and the elders could handle them. The kitchen is large enough to have several people working at the same time. The W/D were a real asset for the pool towels. We had a very special time at Island Home. Thank you.

Peaceful Retreat

We were looking for a quiet place to bring our boat and get away for a few days. This house had everything and was well equipped with your basic needs. Beds very comfortable, tv's in every room, lots of space and very clean. Pool was very nice and the dock was perfect for our 22ft cabin cruiser. You will see Osprey flying and mullet skipping across the water. Also saw a large school of catfish. It is a quiet neighborhood set back in a cove so it worked for us. We would book again next time we want to get away.
