We had a wonderful week in Cuisine D'Alice. The pictures on the website make it look lovely and in reality it's even better. The cottage itself is beautifully presented with very careful, tasteful attention to detail and comfort. It has its own garden which is very private and much larger than we expected with sunny spots, shade, and a range of garden furniture. The wider grounds include swathes of lavender and herbs and vegetables and an array of plants in pots as well as acres of woodland. The roses weren't in flower when we were there but must be fabulous.
We enjoyed the pool every day. It's clean, well appointed and large enough to swim in, rather than simply cooling off (although it's great for that too!)
Cubjac is pretty. It's small but has a great bakery, and a little market on a Friday. We booked a canoeing trip through the local campsite, which was fun. You really need a car to explore the area and there are lots of interesting places within easy reach. Hautefort and St Jean de Cole particularly stick in the memory.
For a restful, peaceful, memorable and magical holiday, I'd have no hesitation in recommending Cuisine D'Alice. Catherine and Maxence, with their supporting cast of various animals, are perfect hosts.
