A total rip-off
Have you ever felt that horrible feeling of realisation that you have been completely and utterly ripped off? Well, that is the overwhelming and lasting experience I received from staying at this property. We payed a premium price for a disgustingly dirty and really quite basic beach shack. Spider webs in every corner, dog hair and smell, dead insects in every window frame. The house looked like it really needed some love and some maintenance. I don't have a problem with older furniture, but the interior lacked all style and attention to detail and reminded me very much of a youth hostel. The beds were cheap bases on roles that were not fixed to the ground so would slide off when we tried to get into bed. Yes, the location and view was amazing but there are many properties for rent in this area and I certainly cannot recommend this one. I was also very annoyed by the "over-the-top" admin involved with staying at this place. I had lots of emails from "Holiday Rental Specialist" who manage this place. I had to perform an ID verification and upload documents via their website. This rental management company also tried to remedy the situation when I told them how disappointed I was about the dirty property. They offered sending in a cleaner, which I refused given it was almost 5pm on our single night stay and I really did not want to have cleaners interrupt our family holiday further cleaning away dirt that had obviously been there for months. Too little too late.
