Perfect lake vacation
Our family with 4 kids/teens stayed for 3 nights in August. Beautiful cabin, spacious inside layout. All the comforts of home. A pleasant 5 min walk to all the fun activities the Cultus Lake community offers. Would love to book a longer stay next summer!

Fantastic location but property was a bit dated and tired. We had problem's with the cleanliness of the place which the owner sorted asap. Could do with a overhaul of furniture and carpets. The size of the accommodation is great and in a great location just next to the beautiful cultus lake. Its really good to have the owner close by for any problems.

Perfect weekend Getaway!
Perfect location for a weekend getaway at Cultus Lake! Easy walking distance to the main beach, dog-area of the beach and Marina, but still quiet enough to sit back and relax after an exciting day! Great weekend getaway
Just got back from our 15th Annual Cultus Lake trip with our kids. They are now teenagers. House was very clean, great flow and having a long kitchen family style table under the skylight was a great sight! Having the 2 toilets for 6 was a great advantage. The back yard was small but private. Nice spot for our morning coffee ☕️.

Great Location
The house is in a perfect location. It is within walking distance to all of the great attractions at Cultus Lake. The house was clean and very comfortable. The check in and out process was easy. The air conditioner was wonderful to come back to after a day out in the heat. I would recommend this home to anyone considering staying in Cultus.

Perfect getaway!
My family of four and our dog just enjoyed a beautiful lake vacation at this property. The house appears small from the outside but is spacious inside with 3 bedrooms, 2 updated bathrooms (one is a powder room with laundry) and a roomy kitchen with a massive island. The star feature of this property is the huge sunlight over the dining room table which greets you as you enter the foyer. We had so much fun at the lake, one block away. The location of this house is quiet enough to enjoy morning coffee and meals out on the front patio and close enough to the beach, trails for hiking, dog beach and a rental shop for paddle boards and kayaks etc. There is a sizeable TV in the living room as well, so we enjoyed a few family movie nights after dinner throughout the week. Johan and Kristi were extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. They were even gracious enough to allow us to extend our stay by a night as a last minute request. We had a fantastic time and look forward to returning. Five stars across. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location, great space for families (and a dog!)
The location was fantastic. Easy access to Chilliwack, short walk to the lake, the beautiful forest area, and the waterslides/amusement park area. (We can’t wait to come back and try these when the season opens!) The local restaurants are only minutes away and our particular favorite was the Lakeside Beach Club. Lots of space in the cabin for the kids and the bunk beds were a huge hit. We very much enjoyed everyone having their own space, and everything was bright and open – so much better than being in a hotel room. Communication with Johan was excellent as he was always quick to respond and beyond helpful. It was very much appreciated to find a pet friendly option in such a beautiful place. Everything we needed was onsite and we will most definitely be back. Thank you, Johan and Kristi!

Great bright,spacious well equipped house on a quiet lane just up from Cultus Lake.
Easy to drive up and park. One level with three good sized bedrooms is pet and kid friendly. Socializing indoors and out is so easy here: Interior has centre dining hall, outside small back garden is really cute.

Can’t wait to go back!
This was a lovely little home to spend a special weekend at! Everything was as described, and so many things provided that I wasn’t expecting (this is my first time in this kind of vacation rental). There were a few things we could’ve used instructions for: fireplace ( mwe didn’t get it to work and forgot to contact the host for details… There were different dials on the walls but I’m not sure what belongs to what appliance), coffee maker ( they are all different… But we eventually got it figured out ). The family members I was travelling with loved it, too! They felt the back patio area could be a little more inviting, but for my part I would like to have seen a small, covered outdoor sitting area ( I love to sit outdoors, even in the rain 😃). These are minor things which were not an impediment to our enjoyment there. I really appreciated that it was pet friendly. Communications with the hosts were Pleasant and always answered promptly. I would definitely recommend this location and we look forward to going back

Another lovely stay!
This is our second year coming back to Cultus Lake, and this same property. Such a wonderful few days away…the cottage has everything we need to be comfortable and you can’t beat the location. Close to the water park and the lake for daily swimming with the kids, and we didn’t have to use our cars at all! The cottage was clean and modern, and spacious enough for our two families…even on the one rainy day! We’ll be back :)

always like booking a 2 bathroom place such as this. So many extras. Did not need to bring a thing. Just food and there was even some of that there. Lots of towels, bedding, T.V. great. Close to lake and all other places at Cultus.

Run down and dirty
Beggars can’t be choosers, sadly at cultus lake. For the price it’s considered a bargain but a few things you should know before you book. The floors were sticky and pet hair was on the floor when we arrived - the host quickly had cleaning staff return. The furniture is stained and dirty. The dishwasher doesn’t work. The carpets are dirty and stained. The nightstands are dusty. The cookware is gross. Someone else’s hair was in the bathroom sink and bathtub. Garbage was left in the front yard. The patio umbrella is broken. One of the 8 beds is a blow up mattress. Towels and sheets are shoved into the closet and not folded. The entire garden is dead. No curtains in the bedroom so you’re awake at 5:30am. No clocks in the bedrooms. One fan for the whole house. Someone else’s opened leftover coffee and tea to use. The whole experience was sad and disappointing given our other Vrbo stays. This is simply a money maker for a homeowner who obviously doesn’t care because the sad reality is that because of the location, people will continue to come here and pay a fortune for it. At least you’ll be better informed than we were!

Perfect location
The cute house is bigger than it looks from photos and the outside. Two large bedrooms, comfortable beds and a room with bunk beds. Considering the owners are new there are some small details that needs attending and they have been informed. Overall the house was very clean and comfy. We ate outside and there were few bugs to bother us. The location is perfect. A ten minute max walk to the fun park and slides and five minutes to the docks at the end of the streets. The owners were very pleasant and quick to respond to any messages. We're already looking forward to next year's retreat. Cheers

Nice cottage very close to the lake
We had a lovely time at Johan’s cottage. It is very close to the lake, water park, steps away from walking trail and golf course. It is updated and had all the amenities we needed. I was impressed that they even had a nice selection of spice. On our way there we bought fresh salmon and barbecued it, using the spice and we all loved it. Would definitely be back.

Staycation on the lake
We had booked our stay at the lake at the last minute due to having to change our vacation plans because of travel restrictions. We were extremely happy to find this hidden gem on VRBO. The bungalow had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. From its proximity to the lake, trails, restaurants we were well situated to be able to leave the car parked. Johan and Kris were very easy to get hold of and answered all our questions in a timely manner. The accommodations were clean and very spacious with two large bedrooms and a smaller one with bunk beds. Open concept kitchen, living area and two patios. We enjoyed BBQs on the front deck and sitting on the back patio at night with the glow of lights strung across the patio.

Great Location!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. There were a few minor maintenance issues. One lightbulb in the bathroom needs to be replaced and the dimmer light in the master bedroom was flickering. I also noticed there was soap scum behind the taps in the smaller bathroom. I didn't mention any of this to Andrew during our stay because I thought these are very minor issues. The cottage was nicely decorated and I loved the skylight. We walked to beach and drove to a couple of excellent restaurants that were close by.
