« A very well stocked comfortable house with everything you need for a holiday. The garden was really lovely too with lots of nice plants and seating areas. There is a great games cupboard we didn’t even get time to use. The house is a short walk to Keswick along the old railway line and close to lots of other great walks. We had a really lovely time there. »

« Fantastic house, with great location in the forest and close to the lack. The house if well set out to allow for privacy even if you have a full house. An area for the kids to play TV games on one TV, whilst the parents can watch something else in the other room....and if anyone wants to sit outside on the deck, two perfect spaces to sit outside and relax. »

« Brookside is a great place for a quiet family break with a dog (or without!). The rooms are good sized and there is an abundance of pots, cutlery and glassware. It’s also well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.The bonus for Brookside is its location overlooking the village green, good for walking the dog - on a lead because of grazing sheep and lambs. « The home was perfect for what we were looking for, which was just a home base to relax in and visit with family in the area. It has easy access to the rail station, grocery store, and downtown shopping and dining. The kitchen supplies were basic, but enough to put together some simple meals after a trip to the grocery store. The beds were very comfortable. There is a bit of traffic noise, but that’s really only because we were there in August and needed to open windows. We would stay again...

« The property was everything we needed it had been nicely done with quality fittings and we had a very relaxing stay. The views were fantastic and the only noise came from the neighbouring sheep. Garden was great for our border collie who had plenty of room to play. »

« This stay should have been great. The house itself is huge, each of the rooms are unique and there are gorgeous views. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the hot tub being dirty and the maintenance company and host were very apologetic, but nothing was actually done about it and I have had to complain directly to VRBO. The overall cleanliness of the property wasn’t great but we could have overlooked that as it’s quite a large property so I understand how areas may have been missed. Shame as the...

« Fantastic weekend spent here over the September weekend. Lots of space and beautifully designed rooms. We had a great time and Ben was quick to respond with any help we needed. Rooms were spacious and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone »
