« I have a 3-5 on service. All the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and professional. However, the housekeeping was not good. I was only there for 2 days. On the first day, my room was not cleaned, despite housekeeping being right outside the room when I left for the day. On the second day, the room was cleaned but the amenities (tea, coffee, etc.) were not replenished. Clearly no quality checks by the housekeeping management. »

« Location was perfect. 4 min walk from train station and close to all shops, bars and restaurants. Bar in hotel was first class with extremely helpful staff who were always very friendly. Stayed during heatwave so the lack of air con, or a window that would open, were disappointing. Standing fan in room helped but sometimes just blew hot air around. Room in loft so was very hot. Decor/furniture very basic and dated but bed very comfortable. Bathroom needs some tlc - position of shower in bath...

« The staff were amazing at this hotel—it is a basic hotel with a nice continental breakfast and a few hot items in the morning. it’s reasonably priced. we arrived in Darlington and unexpectedly, our other hotel did not work out. We had no hotel and were panicked! We were so glad that this hotel still had vacancy and was even able to accommodate the bed type that we wanted. « A part sa situation centrale, cet hôtel ne mérite pas qu'on s'y arrête. Notre chambre était minuscule, table de chevet seulement d'un côté du lit (j'ai utilisé la poubelle retournée en guise de tablette pour pouvoir y mettre ma montre et mon livre), pas de climatisation. La salle de bains était bien rénovée, mais il y avait quand même deux robinets séparés pour l'eau chaude et froide, tellement chers aux British! Donc côté chaud: robinet brûlant et impossible de faire couler l'eau à température...
