Aauf dem Weg vom Pacifik an die Karibik

Etwas außerhalb von David gelegen, aber nur wenige Minuten zu fuß zum Hafen mit einem schönen Restaurant. das Essen im Hostal war super. Der Besitzer, ein Italiener, hat frischen Fisch perfekt zubereitet. Und natürlich Pasta und selbst gebackenes Brot.

one night on our way to Bocas

It was the perfect Hotel to stay for one night on our way to Bocas. Clean, nice people, very good breakfast. If you let them know in advance (until 3 pm) you can have dinner there as well which I think, is also very good (fresh, italian). We were too late but they recommended a restaurant near by which was also very tasty.

Niedliches Hotel leider im Nirgendwo!

Zimmer sind in Ordnung, nur leider sorgt ein schon in die Jahre gekommener Lüfter in der Nacht für Durchzug. -- sehr lauter Lüfter und da nur ein mini-Fenster vorhanden ist, kühlt es auch gar nicht ab. Frühstück war nett angerichtet und auch lecker und ebenso ein paar Hängematten waren zum Entspannen da, doch leider ist in der Umgebung NICHTS. Selbst ein Taxi anhalten ist in der abgeschiedenen Ecke echt schwierig.

Living local

What made this place cool was how authentic it felt and that we were part of the community. No other tourists, just locals. We took a cab to the hotel for less than $5 upon arrival and a bus to the main station upon departure for $.70

Nice place with great owners who are very helpful.

Nice place, quiet with very good beds. Owners are super. Out of the city center which is good. We will stay here again!

Ideal para descubrir una zona sorprendente

No se puede pedir mas, y encima por un precio sorprendentemente bajo. Un trato inmejorable, atención y dedicación absoluta a los clientes. El hostal es sencillo pero confortable y todo está muy limpio. Lo más importante, te ofrece información y gestión de tours en la zona, con un precio muy razonable.. De otra forma es imposible haber conocido un entorno tan maravilloso, todo un descubrimiento que no sospechábamos. Muy recomendable!

Bueno, es un Hostal y entiendo que esta clasificación es diferente a un hotel, la habitación excelente al igual que la amabilidad del dueño todo muy limpio y acomodable. El sitio donde esta ubicado muy tranquilo y muchos restaurantes cercas y ofrecen comida en el hostal solo que lo debes anunciar con tiempo.

We arrived on May 11th from Almirante and we stayed at the hostel 2 nights in total. As we arrived we found the owners very helpful and very kind, they answer to all our questions moreover they gave us a lot of advise about the places we wanted to visit in the province of Chiriqui. The day after we ate a gorgeous breakfast made by the owners based mainly of pineapple cake, bananas, coffe, milk, French omelette, bread and butter. Very delicious. The room is simple, nice and clean. We definitely recommend this hostal for your trip to Chiriqui Province.

Very nice hostel great hosts

Hostal libertad was a truly wonderful experience Cynthia Ann Colorado we're extremely helpful at all times. They're hostel is very close to the bus system right across the street and as a fabulous Center Point to explore. Their place is at the end of the road. It's about 15 minutes out of the Centro which you'll want because it's much quieter in that section and it's close to the rivers for the tours. The tours offered through here are very unique and can only be through Colorado. The 2 tours were incredible 8 to 9 hour days by boat through mangroves hiking Beach Dolphins monkeys Birds truly incredible. The captain and his children are lovely people and the children are truly delightful learning to speak English quite well and a good little interpreters. I would highly recommend la libertad hostel I Am very grateful for the new friendships. The breakfast where delicious and also the lobster dinner is worth trying. I highly recommend a stop for at least a few days.

Is run by very nice and helpful couple. Furnishings are minimal with no TV. Was told upon checking in that Air Conditioning was $5 extra per night!!! Not a good 1st impression!!! Very clean-good food-bad neighborhood.

Great food

We stayed three nights at hostel La Libertad....and we really enjoyed the food that Conrrado...the owner prepared for us every night! He was very nice and made sure we were comfortable in every way. We also took a tour to a nearby beach called isla pipon...and to see monkeys ....but we didn't see that many....:( we were kayaking and had a wonderful time at the beach. The room was clean....plenty of water and air conditioning! There is a grocery store nearby were we could buy some snacks like chips... juice..bread...milk...bananas. There is no kitchen and no pool....not many things to do around, except to pay for the tour to isla pipon. To get there is easy 0.35 cents by bus from the bus terminal in David or $6.00 by taxi

not bad but hot

Our room was fine and good for a night or two. However it was extra hot and AC was available for extra charge. There was no hot water in the shower, which is fine since the climate is hot anyway. The host and his wife were wonderful though, and they cook really mean, delicious meals.

If you want a basic clean inexpensive room with great hosts this is your place. It is just on the edge of David but we had a car so it was okay for us. If you let the hosts Cynthia & Corrado know in the morning they will cook a delicious meal for you for 10/per person. You can also buy breakfast for $5. Unfortunately we could not go on the different water tours they organize due to the captain breaking his leg but they did look amazing.in the brochure.

An excellent crashpad

The appointments are very spartan but the value is great! The place is immaculate and the service can't be better. The proprietor is happy to help in every way and is always busy making his place even better. This is my place of choice for future stays!

propriétaires très sympathique à et dévoués

Propriétaire à très gentils et parle 3 langues dont français. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits et tout était parfait. Autobus pour David seulement 0.35$. Seul point qui pourrait être amélioré: un mini frigo dans la chambre quand on reste plus que 1 nuit. Petit déjeuner et lasagne excellents!!
