Felt like Home away from Home!

The home was beautiful and clean. They have a community pool & gym. The home is conveniently a walk away from the Community beach, as well as Restaurants.Vacation Haven spoke with me personally on the phone to let me know the HVAC wasn’t working before we arrived. They brought out a window AC unit, until they had a new HVAC unit installed the next day. They make sure that you are pleased with your stay. I highly recommend stay at one of their properties!

Loved This Home

We loved the house. My only dislike was the rugs in the livingroom and master bedrooms smelt like a dog urine. We moved them outside until we left. But we definitely loved the house. Very spacious.

wonderful place, poor communication

The property was wonderful, but having to send your photo i.d. a current photo and a photo of you at the property when you arrived was just beyond anything i have every experienced. Have stayed in Destin 3 times a year for the past 25 years, will not be back to this property. And fortunately we left an hour early from check out time as the cleaning crew was in the driveway waiting for us to leave. That gives you that ...........get the heck out feeling

Overall great experience

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and inviting. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the backyard for our dogs. Walking distance to the beach. The only thing that was a bit odd for us were the interior doors being fogged glass. Really only an issue for the main bedroom on the main level as it has a view of the kitchen. Probably just a personal preference. Overall great experience and we would stay there again. Thanks!

Great house and community

We really enjoyed the house and its layout. It was perfect for a multigenerational family vacation. Loved the two laundry areas-one upstairs and one downstairs. If you have a larger vehicle it may not fit in the garage, so be aware of that. Two parking spaces are available in the driveway and one is available in the garage. No street parking is allowed. We were provided the wrong access code for the community vehicle gate, but someone let us in and I called the property management number and they called me back with the correct access code within just a few minutes. While my husband and I rented the home we allowed other older family members to stay in the two master suites and we stayed in one of the queen bed rooms. The mattress wasn’t horrible, but it could have been a better quality and firmer mattress for our backs. Haha. Great location and such a nice little community. The swimming pool area is really nice and it’s a short walk to the beach. The restaurant that is located on the beach that is a walkable distance from the house is really good!!

Great Stay

We had amazing time. Great location. We did rent a golf cart. Amazing yard for the dogs. Beds super comfortable. The tvs were very confusing to work. I wish the host would put Rokus or fire sticks in every room. Besides that, we had the best vacation. Definitely would book here again!

Great Stay!

We’ve stayed in the neighborhood before as one of our close friends used to own a house. We really enjoyed the property, loved the fenced in backyard and kitchen. Definitely recommend

This property was the best place I have stayed at in Destin. I will be definitely book here again in the mere future. The only problem was that the fridge was broken down, but they made up for it by bringing a good sized fridge and freezer.

So disappointing

Arrived at 4:30 pm. Was notified refrigerator was not working. Brought us a freezer but we couldn’t fit what we brought. Lost a ton of food. Beds not made, bathroom dirty upstairs, cleaning rags left on floor. Couldn’t use back yard because piles of dog poop had not been removed. On 4th day, maintenance man came and cleaned it up. After driving 12 hours, we sure didn’t appreciate coming into all this, plus incurring the expense of having to eat out after losing half our groceries. Plus ice maker didn’t work after they got refrigerator going. We had to run after ice all week. Fridge Was barely cold all week. Then VRBO thought 500 was a fair amount to refund me after putting out almost 7k for the week , it took me 11 months to save for this vacation and it was so frustrating to have ALL these things to deal with. I’m usually not one to complain and try to find the good in situations, but when you charge PREMIUM prices, I would expect premium customer service and that just did not happen. This might be more acceptable when paying 2-300 a night but when paying over 600 a night, my expectations were higher. What an insult for a refund.

Great house…fridge/freezer issues

We experience fridge/freezer issues the eintire week. Fridge never got below 47, freezer was not able to make ice all week. Great house, but huge inconvenience for us all week...planning meals around it, running to store to just get what we need for the day and trips to get ice everyday. A lot of stress & time spent talking to property mgmt/service teams, for what was to be a relaxing vacation. Just imagine your own house without a functioning fridge.

We had a great time!!! ALL of us including our fur babies😊 it was so nice and refreshing and my father in law (who is handicapped and in a wheelchair) hasn’t been to the beach in YEARS!! Hasn’t been on a real vacation in YEARS…it was sooooo nice seeing him relax and enjoy a beautiful home in a beautiful city right across from a beautiful beach😄. The booking process was super easy and I loved how vacation haven checked in on us a couple times and responded so quickly. I would give our trip a strong, very strong 9.7/10 CANT WAIT TO SEE YALL NEXT YEAR🤗

Disappointed

Two women were in the house when we arrived at 530 which forced us to awkwardly wait outside after a 12hr drive. We found a note from the previous renters that stated management was aware the upstairs air conditioning was inoperable. Sure enough it was not cooling and we placed a work order. Family was very uncomfortable trying to sleep in 80+ degree rooms. The next day a gentleman said he checked it out and there was nothing he could do because the air coming from the vents was cool. The kids again slept horrible in 80 degree rooms. On the second night the upstairs air conditioning began to howl so loud the entire house could not sleep. We notified management and sent a video. They replied they would have to order a part. The next day it continued to howl loudly until it seized up and hummed which it did with zero airflow for the remainder of our trip. We never heard back from management. We tried to contact them for three days with zero response. Other places in the area have better amenities (golf carts etc.)and location for less money not to mention functioning air conditioning. Completely ruined our annual family vacation from sleep deprivation after kids kept us awake the entire time sweating. The dishwasher also did not work and the pack and play was stained. The house is beautiful, and I’m sure the owners of the property would be sadden to know their home is being managed so poorly. Will definitely stay somewhere different next time.
