Schön gelegen
Ein optimal gelegenes Hotel für Ausflüge. Besser ein Zimmer oben nehmen (zwei Stockwerke), da auf Grund der Konstruktion man unten es ziemlich gut hört wenn jemand oben im Zimmer rumläuft. Ansonsten gutes, sauberes Hotel mit typ. amerikanischnem Frühstück. Preis-Leistung stimmt!

The king sized bed is very large and so far, pretty comfortable. There are 4 pillows on the bed, 2 per person so I guess that's reasonable but I think 3 each would be more comfortable for reclining with your back against the headboard a bit more. There is an ice machine on the property so that's a nice convenience. Unfortunately the vending machine with drinks was completely sold out. Fortunately there's a Dollar General store within walking distance from Inn. I couldn't tell if the pool is open for the season yet or not. It looked a little dirty when we walked past it. It's May though so it's possible they don't open it until memorial Day. The Dillard House Restaurant is only a short drive away so we had dinner there. As other people have mentioned when reviewing this Inn, the layout of the location of the sink and mirror are facing towards the bed, on the other side of the wall from the bathroom. You have to leave the bathroom to go around the corner to the bed area to wash your hands in the sink. It's a rather odd set up but it's a very clean and clutter free layout. You're provided with the necessary amenities such as soap, a hand towel, a wash cloth, a rug and 2 towels. There is a TV with cable, a desk and rolling desk chair, a sitting chair, luggage rack, medium sized mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The wifi doesn't offer a very strong signal but it's better than nothing. The girl at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. I would stay here again.

Will never stay here again. Room windows didn't lock. The door lock plate was bent like someone had forced their way in at one point. Exposed metal carpet tack between room and bathroom is dangerous. The room telephone & smoke detector were dark yellow - gross! Walls are so thin, I heard a neighbor sneeze 3 times in the middle of the night. Stairs to the 2nd floor look like they're rotting and 2nd floor walkway is plywood. Overall creepy & unsafe vibe - spend the few extra $$ and go somewhere else.

Clean, nice hot shower and large frig. Thin walls and ceiling. We could hear footsteps, voices, snoring and moaning ... The mattress was the worst and my husband and I were swallowed into the middle cavity and the pillows were like cement. Daddy longlegs were coming out of sink. Won't be back.

The room and property are clean. The room is very clean and comfortable. Issues I can share are trivial. Closet rod, towel ring and toilet paper holder were rusted (due to humidity, no doubt). The water was hot and pressure was high. I stayed 3 nights and was not bothered by anyone at all. The mountain valley inn is secluded and quiet (except for the lead footed tenant above me) who, btw, wasn’t there all day. Just in the morning. Fridge was colder and freezer worked. Microwave worked well. Only other issue I had was that the gentleman behind the counter took a picture of my driver’s license AND MY CREDIT CARD. 1st time happening to me.

We stay here for all of our getaway trips. The value can't be beaten, and we love the location. Certain things were not quite as comfortable this time, including pillows, mattress, and the quality of the towels. They were still perfectly fine for us, but there was a noticable downgrade. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, as always.

Great inexpensive stay for a night or two
Staff is very friendly, room was very clean. A little bit of an older property but had some updating. Beds and pillows were not great but not bad, everything was comfortable enough. Large mini fridge and microwave in room, a/c worked fine. The shower drained very slow. Overall a good stay for a great price.

For the price it was very clean and pretty quiet for the most part. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is an older property but did look like like they renovated the rooms and the beds were clean and well kept. We were very pleased of the cleanliness of the rooms. The air conditioning was okay, had trouble staying on but did cool the room.

I liked Mr. Patel who worked the desk. He was very kind. My "neighbors" were very loud and the ceiling seemed very thin. I could hear each step from above. There's no carpeting in the rooms so that may have been way it was louder than others.

It was a little noisy with the hwy. Not with the windows and door closed, I like fresh air. The rooms have paper thin walls. I could hear almost everything my neighbors did :( The room was very clean, but needed updates in the room. Bathroom especially. Bed was super comfy . I went up to get coffee at 7 the first morning and it was locked tight :( When I went back at 8 it was ready. They are working on the grounds. Nice lobby!

The property is in a convenient location. The bathroom fixtures were antique or not working properly. The bed was so noisy when you set on it or got up, it was almost finny. The pillows were so flat, it was impossible to sleep comfortably. The window was prevented from being opened by two screws (fire hazard).

This is an old motel in dire need of repairs. Sheets of unfinished plywood on the porch areas. Peeling paint everywhere. Rust and peeling paint on bathroom door. Dirt around baseboards. No sink in bathroom....it was about one foot from the bed in the main area. Very small area around sink making it hard to maneuver. Not worth the money we paid!! View was beautiful....would be a nice place to build a new motel!! Pictures are very deceiving!!!

Bad experience
The size of the room was good, but that was about all that was good. Poor lighting, sagging bed, very small sink in the room, that didn't drain well, the toilet didn't flush. The room smelled bad when we walked in. We didn't get much sleep. When we checked out and told them about the plumbing issues, they acted like we caused that, since housekeeping does check by flushing the toilet. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
