I travel weekly and never before have I seen a housekeeper doing her washing and ironing in the reception - certainly you wouldn’t see that at a Holiday Inn - we arrived at 2:30pm, only to be told they only have 1 room for us despite booking 2 and even better room wasn’t ready as their check in time is 3pm but 2pm mentioned on booking website.
We gazed about the lobby to see if there was a restaurant or a bar, all we could see was a few tables & chairs - this is at best 2 star accommodation, it looks like converted offices and outside is clearly not finished with flaking paint and tatty facade, first impression count and this certainly counted !
We didn’t even check in, we paid £99 and departed - this clearly is not a hotel, although called an inn, this is possibly a budget hostel.
