This unique property is rustic with luxury touches where they count. The beds were very comfortable with really nice bedding. The heated king bed was wonderful in the chilly night. The bathroom was clean, updated, and comfortable and the shower was nice, if a bit awkward to get into. The house was very clean. The view and sounds from the waterfall and fountain were very relaxing. The seating in the living area was adequate. The dining table and chairs comfortable. We had no problems cooking in the kitchen, although we brought everything we needed including the pots, griddles, knives, etc. What was there was very basic, typical for vacation rentals. But there was a nice refrigerator, sink, a microwave, coffee pot, and a gas range minus a few burners.
The property was beautiful and conveniently located with good restaurants nearby. My companions enjoyed the hiking trails both on the property and nearby.
We would definitely rent the property again if we returned to the area.
We recommend that you take a quetzal tour because even if you see a group of people along the road watching a nest, it was very hard to see them without our guide. And we got great pictures on our cell phones from his spotting scope.
