Mein persönliches Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis: 9/10. Mitten im Temple Bar gelegen, kann diese Unterkunft mit Sicherheit nicht als leise bezeichnet werden. Dafür erlaubt sie kurze Wege zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt.

Sehr zentrale Lage, direkt am Wellington Quay und wenige Minuten von der Temple Bar entfernt. Ideal für einen Städtetrip. Der Airport Bus hält sogar fast direkt vor der Tür. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, schön eingerichtet und renoviert. Die Hotelbars und angeschlossenen Restaurants sind praktisch und bieten Auswahl. Beim optionalen Frühstück (15€ pro Person) kann man aus verschiedenen Gerichten wählen ( Saft, Heißgetränk). Preis-Leistung war also gut. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage haben wir mit einer lauteren Umgebung gerechnet. Der Nachtclub im Keller war jedoch eine unangenehme Überraschung. Der Bass ist zumindest bei uns im Zimmer bis spät nachts spürbar gewesen (2. Stock, nach „hinten raus“). In anderen Zimmern ist dies wahrscheinlich kein so großes Problem.

Konnten bereits vor dem Mittag einchecken, abwicklung einfach und unkompliziert. Haben ohne Frühstück gebucht. Vor Ort wurde uns mitgeteilt dass das Frühstück a la carte ist( nur bezahlt was man isst). Würden daher wieder ohne Frühstück buchen( was teurer gewesen wäre). Trotz anbindung an Bussstation/ umgehender Partymeile haben wir super geschlafen. Alles Einwandfrei gewesen.

Sehr schönes Hotel an hervorragender Lage und sehr freundliches Personal. Leider haben viele Steckdosen im Zimmer mit den Adaptern nicht richtig funktioniert und im Badezimmer hatten wir gar keine Steckdose. Der Balkon war klein und zweckmässig, toll, dass wir einen hatten. Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Not what I expect for a 4 star boutique. We found the room rather cold - and the radiator doesn't seem to work - outside temperature only 11 °C. Only 1 bath towel provided for 2 people. The TV only has Irish channels. Lamp fittings in the room without bulbs? What is that? Room is large and pleasant however.

I would have given 5 stars, however we were kept up the two nights we were there till 2am due to the thumping music from the pub next door. They were playing some amazing music though. The lobby was also super hot and we couldn't enjoy a drink at the bar because it was pushing 80 degrees.

Great Nights Stay at The Clarence
We had one night in Dublin before travelling up to meet family in the north. The hotel and its staff were amazing from start to finish. We received an upgraded room and enjoyed a relaxing suite for the time we were there. Along with being able to check in early due to an early flight. Couldn’t have asked for any more. Will definitely stay here again when next over in Dublin.

The property was located in the heart of Temple Bar district which was very ideal. When we arrived, the staff was able to book us into a room before our check-in time which was much appreciated. The overall aesthetic of the property felt true to their online marketing -- fun, chic vibe. I was a bit disappointed in our room accommodations. We were told this was a upgrade, which I later learned was because of some design they recently completed in the bathroom. Our room was a corner unit that looked into a bare stairwell. I could care less about the view, but the room had a strange spatial configuration which made it really difficult to fit our luggage and have our luggage simultaneously open. Plus, the bathroom flooded every time we ran the shower. I think this was due to the glass not extending far enough beyond the showerhead and the curb or shower pan not gradating towards the drains. We were only there two nights, and by the time we had our first flooding experience, it only 36 hours until check-out so we decided to live with it during our time there. Lastly, the heating unit was not controllable from our room. We later learned that you had to call into the front desk and they would manually turn it off and on. After cooking our first night, we tried to call in the morning but couldn't find a phone to reach the reception. It was resolved after an in-person conversation. A minor disappointment given that splurgy expense to stay there and the high expectations going in.
