„Die Dame, die uns empfangen hat, war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir durften 2 h vor der offiziellen Check-in-Zeit unser Zimmer beziehen. Das erste Wort, das mir zum Hotel einfiel, als wir davorstanden, war „Spelunke“. Es sieht von außen recht heruntergekommen aus. Passt aber somit gut ins Umfeld. Der Hinterhof/ Parkplatz wurde des nächtens von laut herumschreienden Betrunkenen als Heimweg benutzt. Gut, wenn man neue schottische Schimpfwörter lernen will! ;-) Ruhe und Erholung findet man hier ...

„We had a lovely warm welcome from Morag. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Morag shared with us local recommendations for eating out. Our morning started off with the most delicious Scottish breakfast. We would highly recommend a stay at The Hightae Inn.“

„I thought the Kings Arms was an excellent country pub for an overnight stay. Staff very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the restaurant and bar as well.“

„Recently refurbished, rooms were clean and fresh and kept the original features of the property. Bathroom was lovely and bath a great size although did miss the option of grabbing a quick shower. Bathroom needs a blind or curtain please otherwise stunning room.“

„Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.“

„Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet.
