All the staff that I had interaction with were fantastic, 10/10.
I’ve read in some other reviews that the hotel is difficult to get to without a car, utter nonsense, the north bound bus stop is a 2 minute walk and the south bound bus stop is a 4 minute walk.
The bar had a good selection of Heineken brewery draught beers, the evening menu only had 1 vegan option, jackfruit balti, which was really good but something worth noting if it affects you. The breakfast buffet had an excellent range, catering for everyone from what I could see unless you’re extremely picky.
The only real negative for me, and it may well only be select rooms, they’re not sound proofed. You can hear and be heard. My neighbour snoozed his alarm several times before 7a.m. Maybe I’m expecting too much but was a little disappointed with that. To finish on a positive, this is an ideal hotel if you’re visiting Edinburgh and don’t want to stay in the city. Fantastic local views over the Firth of Forth.
