Our host, Susan, was so kind, generous, and lovely. Her home and property were beautiful and comfortable. This B&B was a perfect location to take advantage of all of County Cork.

Tranquility at its best
Home from home. Hosts were wonderful, helped with in depth local knowledge. House and gardens including its own lake were idyllic. You'll have to go some to beat this place. Can't wait for our next visit. Thanks again Susan &Gordon

Lovely stay during our vacation. Susan and Gordon made us feel like family. Fantastic property. Really enjoyed the tea and scones, breakfast and seeing the newborn calves. Best stay of our vacation. We hope to be back again and stay longer.

Must stay here if you get the chance.
Susan and Gordon were beyond inviting. They treated us like family, especially our 11 year old son. We cannot rate this B&B high enough. The location is amazingly quiet. Also Jake is a great diog!

Beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Hosts Susan and Gordon are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Room was clean and comfortable. Lots of written materials regarding things to see and do in the region were available. Food was great.

Lovely Lake House
The Lane House was spectacular. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. I really loved looking out over the lake and the grounds. The home made breads were wonderful.

A little bit of perfect!
Just perfect in every way. This was our first hotel on our first trip to Ireland and we couldn’t fault it. Our welcome was lovely and the tea and fresh scones a delight. Beautiful room, amazingly comfy bed, spotless bathroom and big fluffy dressing gowns. The grounds are beautiful and it was lovely to be able to wander around the lake and meet the animals! Wonderful tasty breakfast, lots of choice and freshly cooked, nothing was to much trouble. Definitely on our list to return to.

Sometimes what goes wrong that tells the story
In my case, our plans changed and we were not going to visit the area ILO of another location. Since my reservation was made on 4/17/18 for a 6/30/18 stay, I forgot about it. Expedia somehow did not send out a reminder for the upcoming stay. Although they were very apologetic, they said it would be up to the hotel to decide if they would refund the stay. The owner Susan emailed me late on 6/30/18 inquiring if I needed directions. I responded that I was unaware of the reservation. Although it was beyond the cancellation window, she was very gracious to allow a refund for the two rooms. Very nice for her to grant the exception. This to me represents integrity and compassion. I highly recommend that she should be rewarded with your patronage.

Très bon accueil de Suzan avec un thé et des scones excellents. Chambre spacieuse et propre. Literie confortable. Belle décoration soignée. Salle de bain propre et fonctionnelle avec peignoir. Belle vue sur le lac. Petit déjeuner à la carte et délicieux. Suzan est une bonne cuisinière. C'est une hôtesse agréable et attentionnée envers ses hôtes . J'espère retourner chez elle un jour prochain. Un séjour très agréable et je recommande cette maison d'hôte.

Fabulous B&B in West Cork
Gordon and Susan at the Lake House were wonderfully welcoming and fabulous hosts. Everything was perfect for our stay from our room, to the amazing afternoon tea on arrival, to the scrumptious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and their knowledge and assistance in helping plan our trip the following day was very much appreciated. The Lake House is a perfect base to explore the beautiful West Cork countryside. Wish we had stayed longer but will definitely be back! Our stay was a highlight of our time in Ireland - thank you.

Excellent, centrally located B&B
My family and I loved this B&B. We loved the location, and being on a working farm. We spent eight full days driving all around south and southwest Ireland, visiting the beautiful sights, using the B&B as our home base. The house was beautiful. Susan and Gordon are fabulous hosts. They are very friendly. The breakfasts that we had every morning were scrumptious. Susan is an excellent cook. The eggs served were from their chickens. Susan and Gordon were also very helpful in offering suggestions on what to see. Their dog, Rocky, was also an excellent host. We just loved him. He kept my daughters entertained every evening. He is a very smart dog.
