Don’t book through Hotels.com and expect to get the bedroom you’ve reserved and paid for. We booked 3 King with balcony upper floor rooms and were only given two. The initial bedroom number listed on the reservation was the correct type of room but was changed at check in and we were told it was because of an algorithm the computer spits out. The room given was ground floor king that borders the parking lot and would have had headlights from the parking lot as well as the street flashing in all night. When we went to request a change, the group checking in after us were being given the room initially set for us. We inquired with the desk agent and were not given a straight answer until I asked if it was because we booked through hotels.com instead of directly with Holiday Inn, then we were told that was the reason. The agent was polite, but not very forthcoming, even when they were told we also have an IHG membership, which meant nothing since not booked direct. Ended up with a third floor King but no balcony, and our shower door slid open every time we showered. Floor ice maker worked off and on. Breakfast was the same both mornings we had it, decent but bland. The parking garage was spacious but the turn to get into it was dicey and a larger vehicle may have a harder time navigating through there and the front parking area. No grounds to walk around, path for the river on the opposite side. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Doubletree for a few dollars more.
