The whole farmhouse and the grounds around it are yours alone: fire pit, Beehive Bar pavilion, the 50-foot barn deck, patio, gardens and play area. Self check-in with a smart lock. Free parking on site for several cars. You need a car: the farm is rural and nothing is within walking distance. Milwaukee's airport (MKE) is about 40 minutes away and Chicago O'Hare about 90.

    AREA

The farm sits on a county road among open fields, and guests tell us they spend most of their time on the grounds. By car: East Troy's square and the East Troy Railroad Museum about 10 minutes, The Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago for apples and cider about 10, Old World Wisconsin about 15, Kettle Moraine State Forest and the Ice Age Trail for fall color hikes about 20, Alpine Valley for concerts and winter skiing about 20, and Lake Geneva for dinner, shopping and the lake path about 35.

    GOOD TO KNOW

    • Three of the four bedrooms are upstairs, reached by a spiral staircase. The primary suite and its bath are on the first floor.

    • This is a working hobby farm with beehives. We may be on the grounds tending the gardens, the bees or the snow, and we never enter the house during your stay. Guests are welcome on the 50-foot barn deck; the inside of the barn and the marked beehive area stay private.

    • Exterior security cameras cover the driveway, the entry and the barn, and a noise monitor is in the main living room.

    • After booking, you complete our Guest Portal and sign a rental agreement before check-in details go out.

    • As part of booking, you choose either a damage waiver or a refundable security deposit authorization.

    • Check-in 4:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM.

    • No smoking and no pets.

    • Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The booking guest must be 25 or older.
