Amazing holiday house

The most perfect location and most beautiful and spacious holiday house…. right on the beach… with the large bay window giving spectacular views of the sea and the changing weather - we saw some amazing sunsets.The private access to the beach is an absolute delight and Vanessa is the just perfect host- thank you!

View and location amazing

Great place for a break away from the real world. Views out the bay window onto the bay were great. I think I could have watched the tide go in and out for days. Property manager was proactive and easy to get hold of when needed. Thank you!

Perfect seaside holiday

This is the perfect place for a traditional seaside holiday - close to the harbour and High Street but only a couple of steps through the side gate to the beach. The accommodation is bright and clean, well-equipped and has stunning west-facing views over the beach from the big bay window. It is very accessible for all ages as it is on one level and my ninety year old mother thoroughly enjoyed watching the comings and goings from her chair in the window. The owner kindly left us some lovely home baking and was very quick to resolve one tiny problem that we had. I should imagine that this would make for a very cosy winter holiday too. Lots of excellent eateries nearby. We enjoyed Zitto’s, the Rocketeer and the seafood shack on the harbour and a morning coffee in the Steampunk yard is not to be missed. Pains au chocolat from the artisan bakery on the high Street are also a bit of a treat. Thank you for a great holiday - we’d love to come back!

Fantastic location with access to the beach

Sandy Neuk is fantastically located on North Berwicks west beach with easy walking distance access to the town, several beaches, golf and restaurants. The on site car park provides opportunity for stress free parking and opportunity to explore East Lothian’s wider treasures. The flat is well appointed, furnished and maintained accompanied by a warm welcome from the host. The two twin rooms and 1 double (one twin is attached to the double) provides ample bedding for a group of family or friends.

Superb Holiday Home

We had the most amazing week in this stunning holiday home. The views from the bay window are fabulous. The house is very roomy and large. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and more. We loved that we were right on the beach, our little dog had the best week, playing in the sea and on the rocks. It was so lovely to arrive to the most delicious home baking too. Communication with the home owner was excellent. I highly recommend this holiday home in North Berwick. We plan to return, for another fabulous holiday.

excellent beach location

We had a lovely week with my 86 year old mum for whom the sitting room window was a lovely location to watch all the comings and goings on the beach. Please note that the bath is quite high to get into if mobility is an issue. Great location with the easy path to the beach and also for shopping on the delightful High Street.

You will not get a better location!

Our stay was fantastic. The property is a lot bigger than I was expecting, the pictures do not do it justice. The location is amazing, finding a home on the beach, in a quiet spot and with parking is super rare. We will definitely go again.

Exceeded all my expectations. Everyone that stayed wants me to take two weeks next year!

I spent time with my partner and 6 year old son, and had guests to stay including an old friend and his wife and my brother and his wife and their two teenage sons. First, for my son this was heaven, with a little secret passage to the beach, and he could play all day in the sand, digging holes, building sand castles, while we watched from the window that looks right onto the beach, or joined in. We had some lovely weather, so sunbathing and swimming as well, and it's perfect for wild swimming if you like a refreshing 20 minute dip, and need a hot bath or shower afterwards! With my friend and his wife, we went for a couple of long walks, along the coast, one way long sandy beaches, the other more rocky pools for exploring, which my son loved to play in. And we had the best fresh dressed crab from the Rocketeer restaurant, that also offers fantastic fish and chips. My brother's teenage sons wanted a more active sports related stay, and they were spoilt for choice, including jumping off the harbour wall into the sea, tennis, paddle-boards, golf and pitch and put. Next time they want to try kite surfing! There are two excellent links golf courses that run along the coast, and many more famous golf courses, which I'll begin to try next year. My parents, in their 80's, came for the last two nights, and we went out for dinner both nights on the high street, 5 mins walk away from the house. Being the ground floor of an old fisherhman's cottage, access is easy and perfect for older folk. A good time was had by all!
