« The website stated a pool. No pool currently. Ice was not readily available. You had to bring your ice bucket from the room to obtain ice from the front desk. The food for breakfast was not hot and the coffee is not kept in an urn so when the pump carafes are out you have to request more. There is no working sink in the area to wash out personal contains for coffee to go. The staff member offered to rinse them out but wasn’t happy about it. « I would totally call this a "Boutique" Hotel. The rooms were very unique and comfortable. No detail was forgotten when they put together the themed rooms. The beds were comfortable and they used high-quality linens. Rosie's Restaurant was just a few steps down the hall. The food and service were both excellent. Be sure you try the homemade pie! « Overall the hotel felt like it needed an upgrade and deep cleaning - rusted bathroom door jam, debris at edge of carpet. Vanity is outside the bathroom, but extremely small with no counter space. Or conditioning weak. Building felt damp and warm and it was in the 60s outside. Would not stay here again. »

« We had a great stay in Hays. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a little bit of everything. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Hays. »
