„An okay place to stay for a night. The room was comfortable but definitely looked like it had received minimal upkeep over the years. The shower water smelled a bit sulfuric and wouldn’t stay warm/hot. It was fine just for one night but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer since the amenities were a bit lacking, which is not too surprising given it is a small motel in the mountains. One plus is the property manager was very kind and welcoming. “

Go with the flow and be nice to the staff because during high season they take care of lots of people without up staffing. “

„Eigentlich schöne Unterkunft, aber sehr spartanisch eingerichtet. Unsere Zimmer rochen nach Zigarettenrauch obwohl Nichtraucherzimmer. Die Zimmer hatten keine Verdunkelung, so dass die Außenbeleuchtung die ganze Nacht reingestrahlt ja. Die vorbeiführende Straße ist nicht zu überhören. Die Zimmer waren kalt und die bereitgestellten Heitzstrahler sahen nicht vertrauenswürdig aus. Die Betten waren knochenhart und instabil. Nur mit lautem Kühlschrank und kleiner Kaffeemaschine ausgestattet. “

„Die meisten Motels in den USA sind ja schon relativ in die Jahre gekommen und daher mehr oder weniger abgewohnt. Nicht so das Red Ranch Motel, es ist tipptopp in Ordnung und der Wohlfühlfaktor sehr hoch. Das Motel eignet sich aufgrund seiner Lage sehr gut für Ausflüge in die Catskills und das Hudson Valley. Nebenan in der Rip van Winkle Brewing Co. kann man sehr gut speisen (und trinken) ;-)“
