„Lovely cottage especially if you like period charm. Kitchen well equipped and a great selection of books. Short walk to Keswick, lingholm and the walk around Derwentwater. Lots of interesting places a short drive away. So good to have a private parking space. With only one smallish car it was easy to park. My only criticism I found the pillows really hard but that could be a personal preference.“

„Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. „Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. „Maiden Moor exceeded all expectations. As soon as we walked in it felt inviting as someone had left the heating on for us and smelt very fresh and clean. Had all the home comforts and facilities you could need and very good quality. Highlight was the electric reclining furniture especially after a long walk! Also the location and having 2 parking spaces was such a treat if anyone knows Keswick so being able to walk into town or to Booths across the road was a real bonus!“

„This is a top notch cottage in terms of position, so near great walking and good food. Very comfortable, plenty of hot water, warm and cosy, enough comfy seats for everyone! The kitchen is well equipped but if you are going for more than a weekend, I would recommend taking dish washing tabs, washing up liquid etc or pick it up from the village shop which is at the end of the lane. If you're around for Sunday lunch, I can heartily recommend The Coledale Inn, we had a fabulous meal there. I“

"Ich würde gerne fünf Sterne geben, aber ich muss einen Stern abziehen für die Qualität des Bettes. Kissen und Decke waren gut, allerdings ist die Matratze ein 215 eine absolut durchgelegene alte Federn-Matratze, bei der auch die zwei zusätzlichen Topper das Ergebnis nur unwesentlich verbessern. Die Lage ist hervorragend, alles mit kurzen Wegen erreichbar und das hauseigene Restaurant liefert Essen auf sehr guten Niveau!"
