Little details such as a motion sensor nightlight, fresh vase of wildflowers and vast amounts of guidebooks made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay!“

„The check-in was seamless, kitchen immaculate (as was the whole property), and the sauna was so wonderful, especially after long days of biking and sightseeing. And the views!!!! So many eagles are nesting around here that it’s a daily show—watching them and the shorebirds interact with the extreme tidal changes is exciting in itself! Quiet and comfortable… Most people will want a car to get here, but we used a taxi for our arrival and departure and bikes (30 min one-way to town) and walking ...

„I loved this stay. It's in a perfect location on a hill off the road but very close to Fred Meyer and an easy drive to Downtown or the Valley. It's a nice, quiet spot perfect to relax after a long day of work. The host was super friendly and responsive to any questions. Great kitchen, comfortable bed and living area. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and there was a non-threatening black bear in the driveway one evening that was super fun to watch.“

„We spent most of our time out exploring Juneau so we didnt get to enjoy the home much but the views were amazing from the deck.“

„John was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay. He made sure we had all the comforts of home, coffee, chocolates for smores and home baked cookies. The property was easy to find and a great location just outside of the Juneau traffic. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the Bald Eagles and sea birds. The view was amazing and the firepit was an excellent touch! Thank you John for a great stay! “

„Shangri-La met our needs for a couple days in Juneau. The whole unit is very big. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is great, and I loved that it had a washer/dryer. The sitting area is just ok but it could use a chair. Also, it was not made clear in the amenities that it does not have a regular stove and oven. It has a double cooktop you need to get out of a drawer and a single burner cooktop. They do not heat up like a regular stove. They do have a pretty big toaster ...

„The view was amazing and there was plenty of room to stretch out for my family of 7 adults and 2 kids.The house is a bit more like an apartment. There was year round renters in the bottom half of the house. The owner could have been a bit more communicative regarding check in and out expectations. “
