« The Purple Passion Cottage was fabulous, cozy, comfortable, charmingly furnished and had everything my family of 3 needed. The kitchenette was well stocked with enough pots/pans/dishes and utensils so that we could cook a few meals. We even baked cookies in the oven! The attached balcony is perfect for morning coffee, star gazing or a bit of yoga or just watching the wind blow through the trees. Instructions on checking in was very clear and he notified us when Kīlauea was erupting. Location was convenient to the park and easy drive to and from Hilo. Would love to stay here again. »

« This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made. »

« Bucket list experience as we were able to witness eruption 45 of Kīlauea. This cabin is in the perfect location to visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. If you are a light sleeper, bring some noise cancelling headphones as the coqui frogs make quite a bit of noise at night. »

« This place was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! We loved our very short stay so much. In fact, if we had to plan our big island trip all over again, we would have extended our stay at this beautiful gem tucked away in the jungle. How cool to be able to go from the front porch on a walk through steam vents, with information along the way about local flowers and plants.
