« This is a wonderful house for a large family vacation. We had a group of 15 and there was more than enough room for us to be comfortable. There was a power outage in Black Mountain. I emailed the host and water and flashlights were delivered to us very quickly. The best part of the trip was sitting on the porch looking at that beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again. »

« The cabin is truly a beautifully preserved historic home from the 1940s and feels like stepping into a summer vacation from days gone by. We loved the views of the mountains and forest around us and even were graced by a mama bear and her cubs. The record player, vhs tapes, and variety of cool things to do around the cabin kept us entertained even when relaxing around indoors. Black Mountain is also a beautiful little town with lots of unique shops and restaurants. We look forward to returning...

« While the waterfall is right outside the front door, you can't hear it at night unless you open a window... hence you can sleep with or without it. For dog lovers, I have two beagles, there was a zigzag walking path up the mountains. The house is well kept. One of the owners came by to check on everything. Great guy. A good location if you don't want to be bothered or need to be away from town and city, both only minutes away and easily accessible. We will be back. »
