« The location on top of the mountain provided spectacular views and cool mornings even in July. I would suggest putting a medium sized skillet in the house to use with the convection hot plate. The fridge may need checking also. It took most of three days to cool down. Overall this is a great rental which I think was an outstanding value. I would definately stay here again. »

« Nicely appointed small apartment. One bedroom and a murphy bed in the den/living room. Keurig and coffee maker. Good Wifi. Parking for Sugar Mountain is very close. We were able to get a parking spot right near the lodge because it is so close. Owners are great and explained things well and timely. Thanks for the great stay! »

« Mom and granddaughter had a delightful Easter weekend in the cabin, with visits to Boone, Blowing Rock, and family connections further out. Was a great place and very peaceful and secluded. Highly recommend and everything was very easy and efficient. »

Close to town with other fun nearby locations to visit. - The town is nice and feels like Mayberry. - There are nice state parks that run along the river all the way to the Virginia border with hikes to the nearby mountains and rivers which my kids (8 and 12) loved doing. - The river also has public access pretty close to town which was clearly a local watering hole which I preferred to an ocean beach. The house had many of the conveniences of home including basic seasonings to cook with and a few extra non perishable items that were helpful to have on hand.
