« The cabin was a great "base camp" for me while working in the area for a few days. It was clean, bright and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. I especially appreciated the peaceful surroundings and occasional visits from the family dogs! »

« Schon bei unserer Ankunft waren wir erstaunt darüber, wie liebevoll das Haus ursprünglich gebaut und später mit viel Stil renoviert und modernisiert wurde. Das Haus und der Garten sind eine Oase der Ruhe, die nur durch Tiergeräusche, wie die von u.a. Streifenhörnchen, Spechten, einem Kolibri und ab und zu von weiter entfernten Nachbarn unterbrochen wird. Uns hat im Haus an nichts gefehlt: es war u.a. ausreichend Trinkwasser vorhanden, wir konnten ausgiebig kochen und backen in der voll...

« The place is beautiful, comfy, warm and has absolutely everything you could need! Very clean and well stocked we were instantly comfortable and felt at home. Cooking was easy in a beautiful kitchen, the couch and entertainment systems were cozy and easy to use, and the bed provided such a good sleep! « My family had a wonderful time at Birch Haven! The views from this beautiful lakeside cottage were absolutely stunning — waking up in the upper floor bedroom to expansive lake and mountain views was a real treat. The private lakeside deck, complete with comfortable chairs and table, was perfect for listening to the loons with morning coffee and for gazing at the wide starscape - so many stars on a clear night! The yard also featured cozy hammocks for relaxing and enjoying the quiet, peaceful...

« The perfect escape. Everything was made easy and just needed to show up and relax. Clean and bright. Sitting and watching the sun sets was the perfect way to end the night. »

« Had a great stay. Love the cabin and remote location right on the lake. My only suggestion is being more upfront about the fact that this cabin is 100% off grid with quite a few processes to ensure you have all the systems running properly every day. This was not a problem for us as we are mechanically inclined, but it did come as a surprise as I didn’t see this in the rental description.Regardless, we had a really wonderful stay and would definitely reccoment the place to others »

« This place is a gem. We booked the 2 bed scoria suite. The first thing that stands out is the view from the cabin. It’s right along by the river and it’s absolutely stunning. The kitchen is kitted out with all you need. If I was to find one negative it’s the blinds are very light so it’s very bright in morning. Bring an eye mask. Overall, I highly recommend this place »

« We were so delighted to find this property as we were looking for a place in the area. Cottage interior was lovely with very spacious rooms. And the outside was private and breathtaking. What a place to have your morning coffee. We swam in the private lake every day.. Owner was very responsive. »

« Despite being very close to the highway the unit was relatively quiet. It is clean, spacious with a full fridge and stove, fun decor. »

« Our daughter got married at Tyax lodge and we hosted our photographer and videographer at the house for the weekend. It was perfect and had everything they needed - so close to the lodge. It was perfect. Chris responded quickly to a couple of questions we had. We would certainly recommend and would book again. »

« What a fantastic place, it was everything we had hoped for. The boats, the yard, the lake, the rooms ,all perfect and we had so much fun. Pro tip, you can get ice cream cones from Tyax, even better is to get them after walking their interpretive hike. We also visited Kingdom lake and walked to Noel and Lost lake with the kids. »
