„A perfect little gem of a place, right on the water, who could ask for more?? The layout and arrangement of the apartment is well thought out & maximizes the space. Little details such as a motion sensor nightlight, fresh vase of wildflowers and vast amounts of guidebooks made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay!“

„Just like it says, "secluded guest suite with private spa." What it doesn't say is how it feels to be in a place built from scratch by the owners. The context of this property, and the warmth and skill of the family that lives in the main house make this suite feel like more than just another VRBO. Check in was easy, checkout even easier ("Don't do anything - we'll take care of it.") „I loved this stay. It's in a perfect location on a hill off the road but very close to Fred Meyer and an easy drive to Downtown or the Valley. It's a nice, quiet spot perfect to relax after a long day of work. The host was super friendly and responsive to any questions. Great kitchen, comfortable bed and living area. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and there was a non-threatening black bear in the driveway one evening that was super fun to watch.“

„Shangri-La met our needs for a couple days in Juneau. The whole unit is very big. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is great, and I loved that it had a washer/dryer. The sitting area is just ok but it could use a chair. Also, it was not made clear in the amenities that it does not have a regular stove and oven. It has a double cooktop you need to get out of a drawer and a single burner cooktop. They do not heat up like a regular stove. They do have a pretty big toaster ...

„John was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay. He made sure we had all the comforts of home, coffee, chocolates for smores and home baked cookies. The property was easy to find and a great location just outside of the Juneau traffic. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the Bald Eagles and sea birds. The view was amazing and the firepit was an excellent touch! Thank you John for a great stay! “

„Highly recommend. Clean well maintained. Quick response to our inquiries. It was perfect for us. Full disclosure; It is an older home the beautiful refurbish can’t eliminate some of those characteristics (closet doors that don’t close, bumps in the floor.. all very minor if you’re not a perfectionist) We would stay again without hesitation.“

"Eigentlich ein schönes Ferienhaus, welches jedoch hier und da etwas mehr Sauberkeit vertragen könnte (Flecken auf der Couch, unsauberes Geschirr) und bereits erste Abnutzungen zeigt. Der Check-in war einfach und flexibel. Das braune Wasser aus der Leitung fanden wir etwas komisch, auch wenn es vor Ort in einer Mappe erklärt wird. Wir haben entsprechend nur das Wasser aus dem bereitgestellten Wasserspender genutzt. Durch das Wasser würden wir hier nicht länger als eine Nacht bleiben."
