« Convenient location right in the main town of Tortugero feeling like a local. Direct walking distance to the many eateries and shops plus a few steps from the beach side. Access to the National Park without boating in/out. Arrival and check-in can be confusing with many individuals at various steps but just be ready to tell them where you’re staying and who you’re looking for. Quaint home is well equipped and all the comforts as described. »

« I had a wonderful stay here! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, always making sure we felt at home. The food was not only delicious but also very affordable — such a great surprise! One of my favorite parts was the beautiful forest surroundings, where is thewe could see hummingbirds flying around all the time. It was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! »

« We so much enjoyed our stay at Casa Jaguar and Tortuguero. Cristina was most helpful and accommodating. Casa Jaguar is nice and clean and surprisingly quiet at night, yet right next to yhe village. We will absolutely stay here again. »

« This cabin is like a treehouse in the clouds! The owners and staff are so lovely and friendly. The farm and feeding the animals were a major highlight for the kids on our CR trip. We would love to come back! »

« In Costa Rica we were traveling from Uvita to Cahuita and wanted to break up the drive. We are SO happy to have found Roberto's place. It was AMAZING. I WISH we would have had more time at this location. It was my favorite and we stayed in 5 of the Provinces. « Our group of two families stayed here on our way from San Jose to Manzanillo on the Caribbean side. It was close to the airport, easy to find, beautiful and clean, and in the perfect location. Our host was friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again! »

« Comfortable room with private bath, and we enjoyed sitting in the porch area and visiting with Katty & family. Close enough to everything to walk but far enough back to be peaceful. We went on the night hike and canoe tours with P&K Tours, and it was convenient to start at thr same place instead of meetinf up in the village or at the dock. This was the highlight of our trip through Central America. »

"Emplacement fantastique au milieu du village. Je recommande fortement les chambres au 2e avec vue sur le canal. Excellent déjeuner avec horaire flexible, pris sur la terrasse face au canal. Seul défaut, on doit payer les chambres cash."

Pachira Lodge

"Le Pachira Lodge offre une vraie immersion en forêt tropicale. Les chambres n'ont pas de fenêtres, seulement des moustiquaires : on entend les sons de la nature la nuit, ce qui peut surprendre, mais crée une ambiance unique. Pas de climatisation, mais les ventilateurs sont efficaces. Pas de wifi dans les chambres — il faut accepter de décrocher. Le personnel est très sympathique. L’accès se fait en bateau, ce qui rend le séjour spécial, mais représente un coût à prévoir. Même si les restos sont au village, j’ai préféré rester au lodge : c’est plus calme et bien plus immersif. La nourriture en buffet est bonne, mais peu variée. Malgré tout, un excellent endroit pour qui cherche la tranquillité en pleine nature."

"Dépaysement total dans ce beau lodge..jardin magnifique..petit dejeuner correct et le dîner se passe un peu dans la pénombre ce qui donne une certaine atmosphère..piscine un peu fraîche mais vu la chaleur c'est agréable..personnel à l'écoute très sympathique ainsi que le manager !je recommande vivement "
