« We spent 3 nights at Raul’s guesthouse which felt more like a very spacious condo! It is safe with a gated driveway and a backyard that never ends! The fruit trees, the flowers and the landscape are absolutely stunning. Now for interior, there are only positives critiques to be said here. Everything is high end, they provide you with so many things that it is easy to cook your own meals! They have lots of pots and pans, dishes etc… but no condiments. Every inch of this place is taken care of....

« The owners or care takers (I don't know who exactly they were) were kind and tried to help us when we asked. The decorations are a nice touch and seemed clean. It is located where it rains a lot, so expect a lot of humidity. The windows were open when we walked in (the windows do have screens), I'm guessing the windows were kept open to keep the place cool and comfortable. There is a fan in the bedroom and living room, but the fan in the living room will only stay on if the light stays on,...

« The house is beautiful, and the location felt perfect for us. We enjoyed relaxing on the second floor balcony (even doing a little astrophotography!), going to the nearby beaches, and taking day trips out to Hilo and the Volcanoes National Park! I couldn't have asked for a better home base. They also had a good stock of cookware, so we were able to cook most of our meals which saved us both money and travel time for food. This place was really a treat! »

Plan your food accordingly. *the treehouse is beautiful, but know that you will hear all of nature. It’s kind of like camping sounds. »

« My partner and I loved this very unique property. The outdoor shower, and being totally surrounded by nature, listening to the coqui frogs at night, and enjoying a fire in the evening. Would definitely recommend for a tranquil setting! »
