« gorgeous place up in the woods. you wont see a neighbor or traffic. nice little brook out back with an excellent sound. Front porch rockin' chairs were a favorite. Franklin WV is 4 miles away with a few restaurants and groceries if you care. Kitchen was great and had all the necessary things. turn off all the lights and step outside at night and it is pitch black except for the stars. WIFI was very handy and TV had Samsung streaming apps. »

« House was very clean with everything needed for the stay, even has a set of corn hole boards on patio. Very easy check in and check out. Host is very quick to reply with answers to all questions. This was a very nice find and accommodating. We will definitely be back. »

« Romantic weekend away and this cottage could not have been more perfect. Everything was as described. Beautiful sunrise into the cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub. Felt very safe and appreciated towels, soaps, coffees & tea.
Only downside was the cleaning fee. »

« The Rusty Lantern is a spacious cabin with all the amenities and a wonderful view of the mountains of West Virginia. Everything is spotless and nothing has been overlooked. The appliances look brand new and the furnishings and decorative touches tell a story as well as being lovely to regard. The hosts are super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended. »
