« This cabin was everything we anticipated and more. It is a beautifully handcrafted cabin. We enjoyed our visit and our conversations with the owner. He has two beautiful labor doodles and they were very welcoming. Lol. We had a blast and will be back. The craftsmanship was absolutely stunning. We were provided wood for the fire-pit and we sat out there by it for hours. It was gorgeous and very comfy. »

« This property was incredible. Exactly as listed, and even better in person. We took our pups for daily walks on the trails which were conveniently located just yards from the cabin. Just walking the grounds was the highlight of our stay. You get the feel of being in the mountains, away from town, yet everything you need is within minutes and only 15 mins to even more shopping and dining. We truly enjoyed our time at the Barn Cabin and would definitely stay again. »

« We were very happy with this house- fantastic view and tons of room for 6 retired ladies on their annual ladies trip. We met the host Gwen who gave us some great recommendations and also quickly fixed a minor issue. We enjoyed the restaurants in Lake Lure. GreyHawk and Lured had great outdoor spaces and food. All of us agreed (no small feat for six 60 ladies) that we will return to Lake Lure next year and to this house! »

« The cabin was well maintained . Temps dropped during the week and heat was not a problem. Hot tub was able to keep good temps even in the evening. Lake access is not a benefit at this point . Hopefully lake will return to it's past glory. All in all a great stay. »

« Smooth check in process, beautiful lake and mountain views. Immaculate interior, amazing kitchen and grill. All the beds were comfortable, and plenty of space throughout the house. Easy walk/drive to all amenities and good location for a golf trip. Very well stocked house! Thanks for a beautiful house and time! »

« We had the perfect fall getaway in this cabin. Our group was friends in their 40s and two 18-year-olds. We let the teenagers have the downstairs with the TV so they could play their video games. The adults took the upstairs which had the kitchen and the fireplace. It was chilly while we were there and we much enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace, added great ambience. We got great use out of the kitchen for cooking meals and we all fit great around the extra large kitchen table for eating and...

« There is no shortage of activities at the crows nest. Pool table, ping pong, darts, hot tub, games, and putting out corn for the animals. There are many places to sleep, the house is clean and homey. It’s a trek up a gravel road but definitely doable. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. It was a great stay! »
