« The staff at the location were very nice and friendly. The cabins were comfortable and had nice air conditioning, though lots of gaps for mosquitos and other bugs to enter. The term “resort” implies high end accommodations and I would not describe this location as that. This is more like camping in town. The biggest problem I had was: I was told a price through communication via VRBO. I was directed to pay a certain amount online and finalize the payment upon checkout from Gabaa. At checkout I...

"The place is really beautiful, and the gardens are very well looked after. The only small downside was our terrace : some of the wooden planks were a bit worn, so you had to be a little careful not to trip. The hotel is quite unique and very well located, close to Minneriya safari and the famous Lion’s Rock, which makes it a great base for exploring the area. The staff were all very friendly, and communication was easy throughout our stay. The only point to note is that the meal service can be a bit slow which could be less ideal if you're in a hurry. Thanks again for the welcome, we had a really lovely stay with our children!"

Uga Ulagalla - Anuradhapura

"We had an incredible experience at Uga Ulagalla: the property is immense and filled with animals and rice fields. The villas are scattered around the property with no vis-a-vis, they are very large and all have their own pool. The common pool near the main building is also amazing. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is well worth the spend"

"Hôtel très bien placé et piscine avec vue sur le rocher du lion mais l’ensemble est très vieillissant et mal entretenu La chambre la plus chère du voyage et la plus mauvaise Petit déjeuner et Dinner au restaurant qualité moyenne Prix des boissons au bar excessif Spa et massages chers et vraiment pas qualitatifs Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel une rénovation s’impose pour rester à la hauteur Rapport qualité prix mauvais "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Taru Villa. The place is stunning, the rooms are decorated with taste and attention to detail, and the hotel overall is truly splendid and perfectly human-sized. The restaurant is delicious with a very talented chef — special mention to the Sri Lankan breakfast, which was as generous as it was tasty. The staff is extremely attentive and lovely. I therefore highly recommend this hotel, which for me is one of the best in Sri Lanka. The only small point is that it would be more transparent to specify the taxes to be added to the services, particularly for the spa treatments, which are not negligible! "
