« This was our second visit. We had a marvelous time. We just love the house, it has all the amenities that we need. It's like a home away from home. However, the TV in the living room only offers five local channels to watch, but we utilized Netflex. Also, it would have been nicer if the grass had been cut prior to our arrival so we could have enjoyed being in the yard. They came to cut the grass the day we were leaving. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay. »

« Wr had a wonderful time. The house was so spacious we could spread out and not feel like we were piled on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and baths were clean and comfortable. We were close enough to town to walk to restaurants and shops. This is a quiet neighborhood in a small town, but we spent a day in St. Louis, only an hour or so away. And the eclipse, what a bonus! We had a great family trip, and the house size and location was a big part of our great...

« House and property were awesome! Little hard to find first time in the dark and raining but Brittany talked us right to it. Bring your own hangers. We loved sitting on the back porch watching the wildlife in and around the lake. »

« I can't recommend Hunter's Heaven enough! Our group included my husband and myself, my elderly mother, another (extremely opinionated) family member, and our dogs. To my great joy and relief, everyone had a good time, without a single complaint! Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was the gorgeous and peaceful setting. « We loved Black Bear Cabin and would definitely stay again! The place was absolutely spotless and had everything we could need, plus some extra touches like K-cups and creamer for our morning coffee. There are games and books, and the game room has tons of fun things to do. Miranda was very responsive and even had the AC going for us when we arrived on a 90-degree day! We will stay again. »

The birdwatching was top notch and you felt completely immersed in nature the entire stay. « Four of us stayed here for the eclipse. The place was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a lot larger than I was expecting. The nearby trains can be a little loud, however the host was prepared with earplugs for sleeping and we all slept well. It is an easy walk to downtown and restaurants. I recommend La Fuente, or Joe's Pizza. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable chairs in the living room. »
