« In the cover photo is looks like the hut is secluded, but the owners house is just out of the image. No problem for me, but people that were seeking seclusion may not realize this.In the kitchen I couldn't wash some of the dishes easily because of the dish brush. I suggest putting in a brush with a long handle. I could clean the bottom of the coffee cup for example. Otherwise this place would get a 5 star cleaning rating.The place is overall fantastic. « Super well stocked off grid cabin, overlooking a valley. Hammocks and bbq on deck with lots of cooking supplies. Cabin is beautifully decorated with books and games. Trails down to the river and a beautiful look out spot! Sunset - gorgeous! Really loved it! Host warm and friendly and has a home close by. One of my favorite stays on the South Island! »

« The host was very pleasant. The place Very clean, (but dust under the bed overlooked) The UK style door handle was a huge issue, opening and closing, I didn't feel secure on the inside. I recommend an illuminated strip on the step up into bathroom ( I once broke a toe in the past on one of these.) Should someone trip they could hit their head on edge of the hand basin. Also recommend frosting film on bathroom window, for day time. »

« Lovely host, made us feel very welcome & at home. Cottage very clean & tidy, lots of lovely touches, flannel sheets, hot water bottles. So appreciated. Enjoyed the 195O’s retro furnishings, old records & player. Kitchen had a great selection of condiments, Enjoyed starting our day sitting outside in the sun with a plunger coffee & watching the Weka. Thanks so much for a great stay. will be back in Summer. »

« The Room was a little confusing to find because it is within (and at the rear) of a complex of other units which are named something else so we didn’t know if we were in the right place. Convenient location for the playground and takeaway/restaurant »
